It’s best to triple your yarn because it will burn longer! Soak it GOOD! I like to tie my yarn where I want my glass to “cut” then quickly pour polish remover over the string again. Get a big bowl with ice and water ready. VERY IMPORTANT! Slowly turn your bottle. You can’t let the flame go OUT then dunk it in the ice water. YAY!!! I reallly hope you enjoyed this tutorial because I had ALOT of requests for it!

The metal spider pictured above was created by mechanical artist Christopher Locke who formed them out of scissors that were confiscated at airports by the TSA . I don’t know about you, but when I see a pair of barber shears, I am not thinking about creating a creepy-yet-awesome sculpture out of them. Locke on the other hand transforms the discarded metal into some startling mechanical imagery. You can almost see the spider pictured above getting ready to dine on the bug it’s holding captive. If you just got a chill, it’s okay, I understand! Creepiness aside, Locke’s work is certainly a conversation starter.
