Creative UI Design Examples for Great UX

UX is subjective and focused on use. The standard definition of UX is "a person's perceptions and responses that result from the use or anticipated use of a product, system or service". These factors are related to design and usability, but also to the emotions and feelings generated in the user, accessibility, brand trust... In the case of the web, the user's experience with the device is not a matter of concern to web designers: big hardware companies do the job of building our machines and computers.

However, web designers have much to say about the user experience that the interfaces and websites that we develop generate: it is a key element of our work! GUI to present information: The interface controls should be intuitive and easy to use. UI Elements and Techniques: New value by Design February 2012 - Fight malnutrition. new value by Design February 2012 - Fight malnutrition

The World Health Organization estimates that approximately 150 million children under 5 years in developing countries (26.7%) are malnourished. An additional 200 million children have stunted height. Malnutrition is not a disease, but it is the most important risk factor for disease worldwide. Outside of emergency famine situations there are many poor communities across the world suffering from endemic, long-term malnutrition. According to the FAO (The United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization), poor nutrition plays a role in 50% of the 10.9 million child deaths each year. “Detecting malnutrition in the field is a real challenge,” explains Caitlin Quilling from the Real Medicine Foundation.

Developing the design briefIn order to develop relevant, context-specific design solutions for monitoring malnutrition the Philips Design team had to generate a deep understanding of the issues. Capturing the dynamism and diversity of the MIT Media Lab - New identity by @TheGreenEyl #Processing

Previous identity components were designed in 1984 by Jaqueline Casey, but there never was an actual logo per se. The team developed an algorithmic logo using Processing (founded by Ben Fry and Casey Reas in 2001 while at the MIT Media Lab) in an effort to capture the dynamism and diversity of the MIT Media Lab. The main concept is the idea of the intersection, each of the cones representing one individual coming to the lab.

Richard The describes:People come from many different backgrounds—engineers, scientists, artists, designers— and have very different ways of thinking, seeing and working. At the lab these people cross paths, collaborate, and inspire each other, and that’s the magic of this place. The algorithm is a Processing application that generates the individual logos.
