I love coming across DIY projects that are pretty simple but look so nice! This modern cinder block planter idea is perfect, with supplies that are easy to come by and putting it together is just as simple. They are filled with easy to grow beautiful succulents - the inspiration comes from Annette at {Pot-ted} , a nursery and patioscaping company. Here's how she did it: - The wall was built with 12" cinder blocks - Liquid nails were used to hold them together so there wouldn't be grout lines and would also allow for flexibility. - The planting is new and as it fills in and starts trailing, it is going to look even better. - The use of cinder blocks allows for many different iterations you could make depending on how much space you have. - They are also really cheap and can be painted if you want to match them to your decor.

This wardrobe is actually a secret entrance to a playroom. The owner of the house had the wardrobe and figured he might as well add a touch of magic to the house for a pretty amazing result. This reminds me of an apartment I once visited in San Franciso. There were two refrigerators in the kitchen.

Good Design For Living in Small Apartments As people migrate to smaller spaces, good design helps a lot. This is something they figured out in Europe long ago, that if you don't have a lot of horizontal room you can go vertical. Tumidei in Italy makes some of the nicest stuff, like this unit with lots of storage under the bed. This unit just raises the floor high enough for beds to slide under. This one looks a bit clinical, but has two single beds plus a pull-out double bed in between. When you read in the New York Times that professional couples with children are moving into small one-bedroom apartments in Manhattan and sleeping in closets, perhaps this stuff could be useful.Coloring Book Wallpaper
