I saw this at kojo designs and have been wanting to make it ever since. I put it off for a while because we have plenty of towels at home and I couldn't justify buying more but then Target had a sale... all towels, all sizes, for $2.99! So I gave in and got enough towels to rework them for CJ, Mak and Bean. And then, I found a downside. What You'll Need: 1 bath towel 1 hand towel decorative fabric, ric-rac {optional} What To Do:One: If you'd like to decorate your large towel, do it now. Three: Lay your towel out flat.Note: if you'd like to embellish the hood like I did for Mak and Bean then head over to The Cottage Home for some ideas.

Fold the towel in half so that the cut edge is now with the finished edge {in my case, the edge with the tag} Four: Stitch up two ends to create a rectangular pocket. Five: Turn your "pocket" inside out and lay flat with open end towards you. Six: This is where the manuever comes in that is SO simple to do and yet SO hard to explain. And there you have it! Learn How to Make Hand Warmers. Warm Hearts=Warm Hands! This winter has been particularly chilly(bitter!) In my neck of the woods, and we still have quite a bit of winter left this season. I have learned that being out in the cold is tolerable–if you prepare. Enter, these cute little hand warmers: Today, I am going to show you how to make hand warmers – so easy and cheap! You only need: Darice Felties Bases Value PackRiceSmall Bowl and Spoon (for convenience in filling the warmers)Sewing Machine The felt hearts come 16 to a package, matched up perfectly. Choose your felt hearts, they are a thick material, and pre-cut. Sandwich the two hearts together, then using a sewing machine, stitch around the perimeter of the hearts. Leave an opening to add the rice. When the edges are stitched, fill a small bowl with rice, and spoon the rice into the heart.

Do not overfill. Return the heart to the sewing machine, and stitch the opening closed. Now the hearts are ready to go to work, keeping someone you love warm. Fabric Flower Belt......cinch it in!! | Make It and Love It. Remember last week when I turned a Maxi Dress into a Maxi Skirt? And my sister was wearing this little aqua belt, cinched in at the waist? Well, many of you asked where the belt came from. So I said I’d duplicate it…..and show you how simple of a belt it is. So I looked at it and measured it and folded back petals, etc. Meh, not too tricky at all. So, I made my sister another one……..in a cute little polka dot print.

In case you were wondering how that little belt works, there’s a D-ring closure hidden behind the flower. And if you pull on one of the “leaves”, you can tighten/loosen the belt. Such a fun way to liven up an outfit. And in case you think you can’t make this one……..the flower portion is far from science. And then, once you do, others will say……hey, where did you buy that darling belt? And you’ll say, “oh this ol’ thing? Ready to get started?? Okay, time to get the first two pieces of the belt cut out. I used a quilting cotton type of fabric. Now, turn the tube right side out. . . 2 Color Paracord Bracelet Instructions. I’m not a super mom. in fact, i’m pretty sure it’s an oxymoron or the opposite of a double negative, or something that cancels itself out. most days i’m just doing what has to be done, making sure my babes have what they need and praying that everything else falls into place. but there is one other thing i take very seriously…. that my kids feel loved. everyday. it would be easy for this task to become overwhelming, but luckily my kids have taught me that it’s the little things that matter. just one act of love goes a looooong way. this winter my default has been just about anything warm and cozy. letting them eat breakfast by the fireplace, adding an extra blanket to their beds, a hot cup of cocoa after being outside, a warm towel to wrap up in after tubs, or…. … reheatable hand-warmers to pop in their pockets on the way to school. so cozy.
