A week ago I was in Paris on a special meeting for the Sketchtravel book: Ben Fiquet, another all-terrain artist ,and my friend Victor Maldonado, one of the creators/directors of the Nocturna movie, also playing the role of camera man for the event. ;) I wouldn´t like to enter in many details, but if the event was great to meet all this people, the chance of having the book in my hands was something out of this world.

It´s really impressive to see the original art of all the people involved on it, and you can bet the responsability of beign the next one to do his part gives your hand a burning shake. Unfortunately I couldn´t work on the best conditions (nearly 8 in the morning, hotel room, after 10 hours of a stomach disease ...) , but it was a pleasure to do it anyway. All my best luck fort the next artist, the amazing Juanjo Guarnido! (and if I could tell you who will be on the next pages you wouldn´t believe me! Nomi Chi. Nomi Chi

A lot is the haps. I am currently in Halifax. I've been gone for a month and this is my last week on the road, and I've been tattooing the whole time. Earlier this summer I was guesting at Madame Lazaonga's Tattoo shop (Seattle is strange). In Toronto I was at The Pearl Harbor Gift Shop, and I'm now chillin with the rad folks at Utility! Art...right.I am going to art school starting September and I'm so many layers of stoked, and maybe a dollop terrified. I get a lot of people asking me why I'm going [to art school], since when push comes to shove I have it pretty good with my tattoo gig.

Tumor rabbit likes it when you click his thumbnail... if you know what I mean ;) Life is good. Also, check out this wick video by some talented and good lookin fellas.YUH! Tomer Hanuka. Cake or death. Hi.

cake or death

I’ve been trying some new things for a small project. Starting tomorrow, the Arludik Gallery is hosting a new show titled Merveilleux! For which I did a small ink piece. The show explores classic tales and legends, features a lot of awesome people and will ultimately be published in book form by CFSL Ink. And so I did a minotaur.

Also I will never draw anything with a .01 pen again. Some warmp-up sketches from the other day. And now if you’ll excuse me, I need to see if Trevor is still laying in his underwear on the beach, next to this dead cow. Yeah, well, it’s been some time. I really need to stop drawing people hanging out in the desert. Other than that, I made a new website/portfolio thing. And I have a tumblr now too, because all the cool kids do. A quick one for fun while listening to Warpaint. I also drew Donnie the other day. My life has become a long, agonizing wait for Pacific Rim. In other news, I received Treasure Chest, by Sam Bosma (a gentleman, and a scholar).
