When we released our report on the colors of the social web , based on data analyzed by our Twitter theme tool, we were surprised that blue was such a dominant color in people's profile designs. Was Twitter's default color influencing their design decisions? Or is blue really THE most popular and dominant color online?
In a previous post where I discussed the concept of a social media calendar to manage your social media outreach and messaging, Bob Hazlett commented and offered up his calendar to use as an example. I’ve downloaded it and thought it might be useful to show discuss his calendar and my own company’s version as examples and look at the elements that make up these calendars and how best to use them. Hazlett’s calendar is pretty straightforward and gives a solid starting point for planning out your social media messaging.
