BioDigital Human - 3D Platform for Understanding Anatomy and Physiology

One of the services that Google shut down as part of their Labs closure was the Google Body Browser. It was a good site for anatomy and physiology students. Fortunately, there are some other sites that do the same things that the Body Browser did. One such alternative that I previously reviewed is Healthline's Body Maps models . Another alternative that I recently learned about from Danny Nicholson is BioDigital Human . http://www.freetech4teachers.com/2011/10/biodigital-human-3d-platform-for.html

Educational Technology and Mobile Learning: 11 Free Tools to Teach Human Anatomy in 3D

Finding free interactive resources to teach about the human body is not an easy task. I have received several emails from some teachers asking for websites they can use to teach about the human body parts and its anatomy. I am sorry that I am late a little bit but I have been really really busy . The following links below are what you will need to share with your students and let them enjoy the huamn body through interactive imaging, games, exercises and more. Enjoy. QR coded Periodic Table of Elements published in Journal of Chemical Education

http://viral-notebook.com/blog/2012/02/20/qr-coded-periodic-table-of-elements-published-in-journal-of-chemical-education/ Last year, if you remember, I wrote about a great tool and example of how QR codes are being used in science education . The QR coded audio Periodic Table of Elements (as seen below) has QR codes for each of the elements in the periodic table. If you click on the image, then you can get to the high resolution full-sized version and scan some of the QR codes. It’s pretty fun to see what happens. I am very pleased to learn, though, that this QR-coded audio Periodic Table of the Elements was recently published in the Journal of Chemical Education at http://pubs.acs.org/doi/abs/10.1021/ed200541e , which is great news.

Best Science Visualization Videos of 2009

Some of the most impressive images in science are produced when researchers take numerical data and represent it visually through modeling and computer graphics. The Department of Energy honored 10 of this year’s best scientific visualizations with its annual SciDAC Vis Night awards, at the Scientific Discovery through Advanced Computing conference (SciDAC) in June. Researchers submitted visualizations to the contest, and program participants voted on the best of the best. http://www.wired.com/wiredscience/2009/08/visualizations/

25 Free Resources for Learning a Language Online

Jane Hart is the Founder of the Centre for Learning and Performance Technologies , one of the most visited learning sites on the Web. In her monthly column for eLearn she shares some "gems"—useful or valuable tools, resources, and products she has unearthed for learning and performance improvement/support. In this month's column she focuses on free resources for learning how to speak a foreign language.

Cet examen est centré sur l’exploration du système nerveux hémisphérique, le plus vulnérable en cas d’hypoxie-ischémie en période périnatale. http://www.180techtips.com/55.htm Technology Tip Number 55 Leveraging Discipline Based Articulation Like any profession education has developed a long list of terms and phrases that uniquely describe what teachers do and how they do it. This collection of educational jargon is loosely referred to as “Eduspeak” and understanding it can be very difficult for the public at large. Below I have listed some websites that purport to offer glossaries of "Eduspeak" terms to assist the public. Educators deal with the public and specifically parents. They need to remember that their language, like that of a lawyer or doctor, isn't always clear to outsiders.
