Tofu Tikka Masala | Bevisst Forbruk

For et par dager siden lagde jeg noe veldig godt, delvis inspirert av at Hege laget tofu på indisk vis . Jeg tok utgangspunkt i denne oppskriften fra NRK og tilpasset den litt. Jeg har laget Tikka Masala med tofubiter en gang tidligere også, men da ble ikke resultatet særlig vellykket. Det var en dårlig tofu som smuldret fullstendig opp og jeg tilberedte heller ikke tofuen på samme måten som her. Det jeg har gjort her er nemlig å bake tofubitene i ovnen. Grilled Cheese Invitational | Daiya Foods

It's a pretty exciting time when a vegan grilled cheese sandwich wins an award at a contest that features mostly real dairy cheese! This is the first year, since the Grilled Cheese Invitational started 10 years ago, that a vegan entry has won. And get this: not one, but TWO different vegan entries using Daiya shreds were awarded trophies. We would like to congratulate Gwendolyn Mathers and Jenny Harrison on their winning entries! Last week on Twitter , I asked you guys if you’d rather see a main course or dessert recipe for the upcoming Easter holiday. Of course, many of you vegan goblins said you wanted BOTH! I like the way you think. Actually, the majority vote was for the main course recipe, easily by a 80/20 split. Does that surprise any of you? It’s interesting to note this because my most popular recipes (or should I say, the ones that are clicked on the most) tend to be dessert recipes.

Pantry Purge

“Keeping a well stocked pantry” would be a very generous way of describing my penchant for collecting odd ingredients. A certifiable food-shopaholic, any interesting spices, unusual beans, new strains of rice that catch my eye are destined for the cart, no questions asked. Entirely new dishes could be unlocked with that one secret ingredient, and I’ll be damned if I let it slip through my fingers, just because I couldn’t see the final results right then and there.
