Now, I’m a big fan of some of San Francisco’s other co-working spaces, where very early companies (or, in some cases, anyone else who’s interested) can share an office. Trotzdem konnten wir uns den Titel in Anlehnung an den viel diskutierten TechCrunch-Artikel “ Oliver Samwer walks out of an interview with TechCrunch ” einfach nicht verkneifen. Nun gut, unser Interview mit Oliver Samwer gehört nicht zu den längsten Interviews, die Venture TV zu bieten hat, aber trotzdem: Oliver blieb – und er erzählte. Darüber, wo die Samwers ihre Ideen finden und darüber, was die geheime Backmischung für den Samwer’schen Erfolg ist. Doch zu allererst widmen wir uns einer Frage, die in Zeiten der großen Burnout-Diskussion nicht zu kurz kommen darf: “Oliver, ist es nicht langsam mal Zeit, einen Gang zurückzuschalten?”

LinkedIn founder Reid Hoffman gave a speech today about how entrepreneurs can “invent the future”. Speaking at the South by Southwest Interactive conference in Austin, he recited a list of 10 rules of entrepreneurship. Hoffman, who is now a partner at venture firms Greylock Partners, cautioned that he “reserves the right” to change the list later on.

Startup Start
Gern würde ich hier täglich News als der deutschen Startupszene bloggen, aber dass ich dazu nicht die Zeit finden würde, war mir von Anfang an klar. Vielleicht komme ich irgendwann mal dazu, weniger zu arbeiten und hier mehr zu bloggen, aber momentan macht das viele Arbeiten einfach zu viel Spaß.
Für mich war es spannend brands4friends vom ersten Firmensitz in Lukasz’ und meiner WG bis hin zu 80 Mio Jahresumsatz als Gründungsinvestor zu begleiten. Der Verhaltensökonom Dan Ariely, Autor des Buches Predictably Irrational, hält eine klasse Präsentation zum Thema “Können wir frei entscheiden?”. Absolut sehenswert! “Wie unabhängig ist Gründerszene?”
