Vanishing Sliced Steel Sculpture. Using science and art, Julian Voss-Andreae creates incredible sculptures that can vanish right in front of our very eyes. Made up of a series of layered steel sheets, the sculpture forms a human image at a certain angle but then disappears at others. He calls this particular 8-foot high work of art Quantum Man. "When approached from the front or back, the sculpture seems to consist of solid steel, but when seen from the side it visually disappears almost completely," he says.

Grounds for Sculpture As a young man, Itzik Benshalom established a foundry and specialized in the lost wax technique of metal casting. After fifteen years he started creating his own works. Benshalom's passion for life is reflected in the subject matter he realizes in his bronze sculptures. He often pairs figures--one male and one female--to portray relationships and human interaction.
Benshalom's Facing Couple (right), an impressive example of abstracted human figures imbued with emotive undertones, will be installed by the lotus pond. This large-scale cast bronze is composed in a manner that is reminiscent of the volumetric, biomorphic works by Henry Moore.
