Father’s Day DIY: Embossed leather tag and tie clip

Dip your leather pieces into a bowl of water. They don’t need to soak, just dampen them. Let the leather dry. Try a few mock-up drawings before you start. I found if difficult to eyeball the layout because it’s very easy for a few letters to be crooked and make the whole piece look wonky. Hold your ruler or wooden block on the tape line and put your letter punch up against the flat surface to ensure straight, properly lined-up lettering. It’s hammer time. 48014.gif (333×200)

Hi there, it’s Jenny from Hank + Hunt with a fun and super easy diy today!

DIY Party Animal Candles

As soon as I thought of making these I got a huge kick out of naming them Party Animals. Hilarious, but if you hear groaning…it’s coming from my house. Regardless of how cheesy the name is, these turn out awesome. Your kid’s favorite animal holding that birthday candle minus those red eyes that are oh so typical for plastic creatures, awesome. They are templates, cut them out and they will piece into each other to make the deer/moose head you see above! It will only take two pieces of paper, and will make a cute-sized head.

Suburbia Soup: Hoodie Scarf Tutorial. Ufo y Lasso.

The Mason Jar Made Pretty... Ufo y Lasso. Kuliga krokar.

Another project from: Fin is getting into all sorts of trouble thanks to his crazy rolling / (almost) crawling skills. To keep him out of harm’s way I decided to stock his play room with soft plushy toys for the time being. The Happy Stacker pattern from Heather Bailey fit the bill and made for a fun project. This project is best reserved for a weekend as it took me about 12 hours to complete.

I started with the largest ring first. The nice thing about this project is choosing mismatched fabrics to make each ring stand out. Free Template Maker.
