To get you excited for the opening of the games, ESPN hired Brazilian artist and graphic designer Cristiano Siqueira to create a series of 32 colored posters, each representing a team participating in World Cup. Siqueira went as far as to give each image a story, a theme and stylized nicknames. His portfolio includes a wide array of representations of pop icons.

I've always loved insects and I use them as subjects for macro photo for years now. So this theme came quite logically. I wanted the set to look like entomology plates used to expose insect's collections in museums. So I imagined species who live in a polygonic planet.
