Survival Bow Making Instructions. By Jason Knight The following bow making instructions will help you construct an effective bow in a relatively short amount of time.

Survival Bow Making Instructions

A quickie bow is a fast-made bow for immediate use in a survival situation. It is carved from a sapling or branch of a tree. The reason it is called a “quickie” bow is because it is made at the time the wood is harvested, rather than waiting a year or more for the wood to season (as is typical for regular bow construction). Culture Vaults : Resonant Frequencies and the Human Brain. One of the great revelations of 20th century science is that all existence can be broken down into simple wave functions.

Culture Vaults : Resonant Frequencies and the Human Brain

Every photon, energy emission, and elementary particle rings with its own unique wave signature. When we see a color, we are actually seeing a distinct frequency of visible light. When we hear a sound, our eardrums are actually being vibrated by subtle waves in the air molecules around us. Even the neurochemical processes of human consciousness our very thoughts ring with their own distinct wave patterns. By studying the way that waves interact with other waves, researchers have found that even low-powered oscillations can have enormous effects on standing waves, physical structures, and even the human brain.

MIT Energy Storage Discovery Could Lead to ‘Unlimited’ Solar Power. Clean Power Published on October 25th, 2008 | by Andrew Williams Researchers at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) have discovered a new way of storing energy from sunlight that could lead to ‘unlimited’ solar power.

MIT Energy Storage Discovery Could Lead to ‘Unlimited’ Solar Power

The process, loosely based on plant photosynthesis, uses solar energy to split water into hydrogen and oxygen gases. When needed, the gases can then be re-combined in a fuel cell, creating carbon-free electricity whether the sun is shining or not. According to project leader Prof. Nocera has also explained that the process (video) uses natural materials, is inexpensive to conduct and is easy to set up. Other prominent scientists in the field have rushed to highlight the revolutionary potential of the new process. “This is a major discovery with enormous implications for the future prosperity of humankind. No news has yet been released of a predicted timescale to commericial development or mainstream adoption. About the Author. Vegetable Plants - Garden Growing Vegetables. SolarBeat. While there were never actually that many rock stars who got to share a gold plated Jacuzzi with an octopus, a pipe of opium and the freshly shaved Brazilian mixed volleyball team, time was when quite a lot of groups could get by ok on the money they earned from record sales. While cash was quite a powerful driving force in the music industry in years gone by, luckily we are still spoiled rotten by the number of artists creating fantastical, mind expanding music, despite knowing that they’re not really going to earn much or even any money. Here are just some of the few albums this rich year has had to offer. Infographic of the Day: How the Global Food Market Starves the Poor.

To understand the complexities of the international food market--and how traders in Chicago can cause Africans to starve--you could get a ph.D. in economics, or read a 400-page report from the World Bank.

Or you watch this superb nine minute video, directed by Denis van Waerebeke. Though ostensibly created for a science show in Paris for 12 year olds, it's actually probably waaaay over a kid's head. Just watch--it's excellent, and very well illustrated:

He figured out so many universal principles and equations that he was way ahead of his fellow scientists at any point of time. But he is also remembered for another thing; a quality which made people call him a genius: his words.
