Center for Media Literacy. BWP Annual ISI. The Annual Invitational Summer Institute (ISI) is held in Las Cruces, New Mexico from July 8 – July 19. Participants in the ISI have the unique opportunity to work in a supportive environment with people who have a keen understanding of the challenges and needs of teaching in today’s educational environment: fellow classroom teachers. The ISI, an approved professional development activity, is an intensive, two-week long workshop and one follow-up meeting in the fall.
During the ISI, participants can expect to: Interact with other educators. The ISI brings educators together from local high schools, middle schools, elementary schools, community colleges and universities to discuss teaching and writing. Participants gain important knowledge and insights during the ISI, and they continue working with other participants long after the summer institute ends.Write and discuss writing.The BWP is about writing and the teaching of writing about writing learning.
