(studs and pearls): diy: Lanyard Double Chain Bracelet

This project brings back memories, in more than one way. 1) I loved lanyard when I was a kid, and I clearly remember making sooo many keychains and bracelets. 2) This DIY reminds me of S&P's first ever project, the Braided Chain Bracelet , from last summer. And 3) ...Well, my entire bedding set during my Freshman year of college were these exact colors. My comforter was reversible neon green and bright blue, and I even had hangers and towels in the same colors. By the time I graduated I was more into the darker jewel tones, but I still can't resist a good pop of color. 5) Fold it over the chain and towards the left, and insert it through the next empty link. http://www.studs-and-pearls.com/2011/09/diy-lanyard-double-chain-bracelet.html

Paracord bracelet with a side release buckle

This tutorial will show how to make a paracord bracelet with a side release buckle. When made on a larger scale, you can make this for use as a dog or cat collar as well. I get my paracord from the Supply Captain and the side release buckles from Creative Designworks . More projects, links, knot references can be seen on my blog page, Stormdrane's Blog . You'll need paracord, or equivalent 1/8" diameter cord, a tape measure or ruler, scissors, side release buckle, and a lighter(torch lighter works best). http://www.instructables.com/id/Paracord-bracelet-with-a-side-release-buckle/
http://www.creatingreallyawesomefreethings.com/ The is the last post in my Word Press soap opera, and then we’re back to our regularly scheduled crafty goodness! I decided to write this last post in part because of a conversation I had with a friend the other night. She wants to start a blog, and has researched online and concluded that Word Press is the best way to build a blog. She wanted to know what I thought.

DIY: Peppermint Statemet Necklace + Target Giveaway |

Candy canes remind me of Christmas as a child. My Grandparents would decorate their Christmas trees with them and my mom would tape them to the envelopes of her greeting cards (as if to say sorry you’re not getting a box from me but here’s a lovely greeting card AND a candy cane). When I see those red and white sugar sticks I think of all the wonderful things associated with the Holidays like cold weather, warm fires, family and friends. http://glitternglue.com/2011/12/01/diy-peppermint-statemet-necklace-target-giveaway/
It’s September and that means it’s time to add another statement piece to your collection…. obviously! I heart almost every piece Nicole Richie designs for House Of Harlow 1960, especially her oversized rings. As amazing as these rings are they’re also an easy DIY. My friend Jenni, from I Spy DIY , did a project a few months back where she transformed buttons into earrings. #SuperFab This got me thing…let’s transform buttons into statement rings! http://glitternglue.com/2011/09/01/diy-button-statment-rings/

Wipe Off Weekly Menu Board | Make and Takes

I am a meal planner. I refuse to go grocery shopping without my week’s worth of meals planned out and list made. (It’s either that or wander aimlessly around the grocery store for two hours and then make ten more trips back during the week to get things I forgot.) Once I get the groceries unloaded, I usually forget what I planned for, so I put together this super easy wipe-off menu board to keep track of what’s for dinner each night! 2. http://www.makeandtakes.com/wipe-off-weekly-menu-board

(vintage romper, river island feather headband) I’ve been wanting an oversized clutch for a while now, especially since I laid eyes on that Celine clutch shot by Tommy Ton for style.com . Its minimalism is so beautiful. Then, I saw the Clare Vivier La Pochette on ofakind.com and instantly knew what my next DIY would be. http://www.swellmayde.com/2011/03/diy-envelope-clutch.html

I have seen various versions of Faux Rosewood Wreaths in just about every store and catalog for the upcoming season; most with a price tag running upwards of $40 or more. Some are crafted of paper and other of real wood shavings. Last year I made a few rolled flower gift toppers from recycled book pages and they remind me so much of the curled wood roses I thought they would make a good substitute. {with a much lower price tag} Give the wreath form a light coat of white {or light color} spray paint to help camouflage any see-through spaces. http://www.bystephanielynn.com/2010/11/diy-faux-curled-rosewood-wreath-made.html

A bit of green :: Crafts :: Plastic Cup Lamp

Now that my university is closed for winter holidays, I finally have more free time to do all the crafty things I’ve been wanting to. One of these is a lamp made from plastic cups I’ve seen at taf , the art foundation, in the Monastiraki region in the center of Athens. When I first saw it at taf , I was amazed; I looked closely and I couldn’t believe my eyes!

V and Co.: tutorial: fabric flower ring

i don't know what it is about this time of year that makes me just want to have my bare feet in the sand, be watching the sun setting into the ocean, and breathing in the warm salty air of the beach... as i get older, more and more i find myself missing that place i used to go to almost every.single.day. as a teen. (my skin doesn't miss it. as a matter of fact, i now wish i listened more and DID put SPF on my face...hindsight is 20/20). my mom calls me from her walk on the beach almost every morning... *sigh* yeah, i get a little homesick around this time of the year. heck on my pinterest my "dreaming of summer" has the most pictures in it. ah yes. i miss my ocean. case in point. this bracelet, brought a flood of memories, not because i used to have one like it but because i can totally see me wearing it by the beach, not caring that it's gotten salty and wet, because i can totally make another one in like less than 5 minutes flat when i get home.
