It is a tool for checking foreground and background color combinations of all DOM elements and determining if they provide sufficient contrast when viewed by someone having color deficits . (L1+.05) / (L2+.05) where L is luminosity and is defined as .2126*R + .7152*G + .0722B using linearised R, G, and B values. Linearised R (for example) = (R/FS)^2.2 where FS is full scale value (255 for 8 bit color channels). L1 is the higher value (of text or background) and L2 is the lower value. Sometimes you think you're sailing when you're really surfing. It seems like you're headed for your desired destination, but actually you're just going where the wave takes you. For certain types of burns, a slow healing process results in the injury being covered in a dense mass of scar tissue, deadening the area to most sensations. One notable exception is proximity to any kind of warmth, which produces a deep, itching ache that cannot be precisely located by the patient. This ache typically lingers even after the source of the warm feeling has been removed. Attempts to correct the condition with surgery are not successful, tending only to produce new layers of even denser scar tissue.This page collects all my published work related to experience design and information architecture. This conceptual model of the considerations involved in designing successful user experiences for Web sites is the foundation for all my subsequent work in this field. It was published as a PDF diagram in 2000 and an acclaimed book in 2002. This model documents the competencies a team must incorporate to successfully deliver Web products, based on my observation and experience. You can download it as a PDF diagram or read the companion article published in 2003.
