Immagino che oltre ad un grande staff, abbia semplici e profondi valori chiave che desidera condividere… Credo che la cosa più importante nella vita sia comunicare la propria gioia, sia importante vivere la propria vita nella direzione che si sente e che ti porta a realizzare i tuoi valori, ciò che ha un significato. Fare cose che ritieni davvero importanti. E fare in modo che quando ti guardi indietro tu abbia costruito un puzzle di cose che abbiano un senso.

La mostra si intitola “From These Hands, A Journey Along the Coffee Trail” e si terrà al Museo della Scienza e della Tecnologia di Milano. Saranno esposte 62 fotografie scattate da McCurry in 12 paesi diversi che producono caffè: la mostra è infatti organizzata dal famoso produttore di caffè Lavazza, che collabora con McCurry da 13 anni. La mostra sarà aperta alla domenica e dal martedì al venerdì dalle 9.30 alle 19, mentre il sabato dalle 9.30 alle 21. All’interno troverete 14 dei suoi più importanti viaggi come il giro in treno dell’India nel 1983 o l’esplorazione delle condizioni del popolo tibetano (2000-6). La pubblicazione contiene oltre 100 foto a colori, ma anche documenti di viaggio mai visti tra cui riviste e mappe che consentono al lettore di capire a fondo da dove nasca il mito del fotoreporter da viaggio più famoso di sempre.
