Vida no exterior e opções de bolsas. São muitas as dúvidas sobre a vida fora do país. Neste contexto, vim contar minha experiência e dar algumas dicas. Realizei um estágio de três meses em Portugal, na cidade de Coimbra. Fiz três anos de iniciação científica e, quando me formei, minha orientadora entrou em contato com sua orientadora de doutorado sanduíche e propôs o estágio.
Dica: Converse com seu orientador. A aceitação foi imediata e ainda pagaram minha hospedagem em residência universitária, além de um auxílio-alimentação. O custo de vida em Portugal é muito barato. Com relação ao trabalho, achei a estrutura muito antiga, mas aprendi muitas técnicas até então desconhecidas para mim, além de viagens de campo e contato com diferentes pesquisadores. O ritmo de trabalho era intenso, mas a qualidade de vida tornava tudo muito mais fácil. Convivi com pessoas de diversos países e áreas de trabalho. O lado bom de estar na Europa, é que você pode conhecer muitos países com um custo baixíssimo. Os três meses passaram voando. Pós-Graduação no Exterior: Escolhendo um orientador. Antes de começar a coluna de hoje, quero agradecer por todos os e-mails e comentários que venho recebendo. Dá para ver que as dúvidas são das mais diversas, mas aos poucos a gente vai abordando cada uma. Muita gente só percebe que a pós-graduação não é uma mera continuação da sua graduação depois de começar!
E você já notou que uma pós-graduação fora do país requer muito trabalho e preparação. Deve estar claro que o objetivo não é completar uma grade curricular como na graduação, mas desenvolver um projeto significante e original na sua área! No final, você será julgado pelo seu trabalho e não pelas suas notas. Junto com você, estará o seu orientador. Basicamente o processo é feito de duas formas: a seleção é feita após o aluno se matricular no programa, podendo demorar mais de um ano (as “rotations”) ou o “pareamento” é feito durante o processo de seleção.

I had done a variation of this project a long time back. Then I ran across this on Pinterest, and I had to give it a go, but with my own flare. Spray paint the candle holder. Next I super glued the washers to the lid. Then I added a great finial. Let the super glue dry for about an hour and spray paint. Now for the fun part. The last thing to do is to fill it with yummy, delicious goodness and enjoy! It seems fitting to put chocolate, especially dark chocolate, on a pedestal.
