Real Wedding: Brittany + Paul | Real Weddings

http://www.100layercake.com/blog/2010/10/06/real-wedding-brittany-paul/ Erica from Thoughtful Day sent us a link to this sweet couple on their wedding day. The big flowers are so excellent, aren’t they? Brittany wanted to bring some of the magical imagery from Tivoli Gardens in Copenhagen (where they had their first date) and the fantasy of Hans Christian Andersen fairytales into their wedding decor, i.e. big, quirky signs and magnificent, oversized florals (because Brittany LOVES all things floral). The flowers are completely amazing.
In case there is anyone out there who still stops by to read my blog...I haven't fallen off the face of the earth. I am alive and well. I'm just taking some time to prioritize a few things in my life. I love doing projects that help turn our house into a home and blogging about it, but sometimes other things are simply more important. Disclaimer: I'm going to try to be transparent here for the sole hope that it will be an encouragement to you. http://thenetznest.blogspot.com/search?updated-max=2011-11-21T13:40:00-08:00&max-results=5

Putting Down Roots - Martha Stewart Crafts

All it takes to propagate African violets is a large healthy leaf, cut in half. To turn the leaf into a pretty gift, snip it into the shape of a heart. Using clean, sharp scissors, remove a leaf with 1 inch of stem from a plant, and shape the leaf. Fill a small pot with fresh potting soil, and poke a hole in the soil with a pencil.

There's a new love in my life named "Heat n Bond." Oh, how I love thee for your no-sew qualities. I've asked my sister to not check my blog this week so I could share with you a housewarming gift I made for her and her roommate: a monogrammed dish towel. There seems to be no reason why the two girls must be married (not to each other, just generally speaking) in order to enjoy monogrammed towels. Here's how it went down: First, I printed their initials and an ampersand in reverse so I could trace it onto transfer paper. http://goodgravydesigns.blogspot.com/search/label/Get%20your%20craft%20on?updated-max=2010-10-08T03:00:00-07:00&max-results=20
