Se le considera el “Padre del Arte Moderno en México”. El escritor nicaragüense Rubén Darío lo llamó “El pintor de las melancolías”. Biografía[editar] Nació en Monterrey, Nuevo León, en 1871. En 1908 expone por vez primera en el Salón de Otoño en París, Francia.
