Dip the bottom into melted chocolate or spoon a small amount back onto the parchment paper and place the turtle on top. I’m giving these away as a gift later tonight so I popped them in refrigerator to quickly harden. Thanks for stopping by! Irish Cream Caramel Cheesecake - Foods of Our Lives. Sallys Baking Addiction Skinny Mint Chocolate Milkshakes. Thick & creamy mint chocolate milkshakes without all the calories and fat. It’s been far too long since I shared a milkshake/smoothie with you. And in true Sally form, this milkshake is “skinny.” I’d much rather eat my mint chocolate calories than drink them. I made this cool, creamy milkshake after coming home from a run. I haven’t been running as much lately because it’s hard for me to breathe the cold, windy air.
I’ve been embracing my yoga mat and 20-minute exercise DVDs. (Even though she sorta annoys me, I love this one.) By the way, do you like my running shoes? I typically run in Brooks, but how can you NOT want to run in these? Anyway, let’s talk about healthy mint chocolate milkshakes. I know it is Tuesday and all, but let’s just pretend it is Friday. Here is the deal, I went to Target last Friday in the middle of a snow storm. And I did not drive, I walked. In the cold snow, which I know some of you may think is crazy, but I do this all the time. I am just used to it and walking was easier than shoveling off the three feet of snow my car was buried under, not to mention the driveway situation.
Although, I ended up having to do that on Saturday and geez, it took me a good thirty minutes. The car is BIG and I am well… not. So yeah, it took a while. But anyway, I went to Target and the store was jam packed with Valentine’s Day stuff. I somehow managed to come home with two containers of pink sprinkles, one chocolate container of sprinkles, red food coloring and some of the cutest straws, which I have been using non-stop since Friday. Oh and FYI, I do not even like the color pink, yet somehow I thought it was great idea to buy fun little pink Valentines Day sprinkles. Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Whoopie Pies.
Raw cookie dough. It’s one of life’s little pleasures, don’t you think? I’ve always enjoyed cookie dough more than the actual baked cookies; before I started baking I’d buy slice and bake cookie dough from the store and not a single bit of it would ever see the inside of an oven I won’t lie, I’ve never really worried about the eggs in raw cookie dough. I’m sure the fact that I never got sick eating it has something to do with that… But anyway, if you’re not keen on raw eggs, you’re in luck because eggless cookie dough is all the rage lately. I experimented with it a few years ago with these cupcakes, but more recently I’m seeing it everywhere (including in this book, which I highly recommend!). It’s been ages, about eight long months to be more precise, since I last shared a whoopie pie recipe here, but rest assured, I’m just as obsessed with them as ever.
And yes, I did want to eat about 10 of these after the Pats game last night. Preheat the oven to 400 F. Whole Wheat Cherry Vanilla Bean Pancakes. Happy National Pancake Day! Usually I attempt to stay away from trends, but I think we can all agree that I have a thing for pancakes. I practically need pancake rehab. Just call me the Charlie Sheen of pancakes. I can’t stay away. This is quite obvious considering I’ve shared red velvet pancakes, cake batter pancakes, chocolate french silk pancakes, white chocolate coconut pancakes, whole wheat chocolate peanut butter pancakes, peanut butter and jelly pancakes, apple bacon pancakes… just to name a few. Somebody stop me! Perhaps I just should have prepared a post dedication to pancakes?
Nah. If you’ve been following along for a while, you know I adore cherries. And I can’t forget my beloved vanilla beans. Vanilla beans that I scour the Earth (okay…errr, Pittsburgh) for. Not only did I add vanilla beans and cherry bits to the pancakes, but I stuffed the pancakes with a warm cherry mix, then drizzled them with cherry juice and a vanilla bean glaze.
[print_this] serves 3-4 1/2 teaspoon salt. Brownie Cupcakes with Chocolate Hazelnut Frosting. Cupcakes. I made these a couple of weeks ago. I was feeling like I hadn’t baked anything in ages. And when I did bake, it was a failure (like forgetting half the flour in the filling for a chocolate chip cookie pie. How does that even happen?). Or it was something I had already made before and couldn’t really blog about again, like these cookies. So it was time to get baking, and I decided to combine a few of my favourite things. Since I scoop, bake and ice dozens of cupcakes at work in the mornings, the last thing I really want to do when I come home is bake a cupcake. But these are different. So here are some chocolate hazelnut brownie cupcakes.
