Photo Tile Coasters {Using Resin} | Oopsey Daisy

Last Christmas I almost had a breakdown... We had just moved in to our home the month before, but I didn't want to let that prevent us from having the holliest jolliest Christmas. My intentions were good.
http://howaboutorange.blogspot.com/2011/07/how-to-make-boxes-from-paint-swatches.html If you've got paint chips sitting around begging to be made into something, try folding them into boxes for paperclips, thumbtacks, party favor candies, or tiny gifts. I made these from Behr swatches, available at Home Depot. You'll need paint swatches, double-stick tape, an X-acto knife, ruler, and cutting mat. For the box bottom, cut a 1/2" strip off each of the two rounded ends of the swatch.

http://craftycpa.blogspot.com/2011/07/return-on-creativity-paint-sample.html I've had this map coaster tutorial in my inspiration file for awhile. I wanted to make a set of map coasters for my brother; one coaster for each city he has lived in. The plan was to use an old atlas I had lying around, but all the cities were in the middle of the state, right where the atlas folded in two. Sigh. So I decided to make paint sample coasters instead...

DIY Wedding Ideas: Scrabble Coasters Tutorial

When I bought something at a store recently, the clerk handed me my purchase in a bag made from a newspaper. I liked it very much and had to make some more—thus today's DIY recycled newspaper project: gift bags made from the Wall Street Journal. You can vary the dimensions, of course, but here's what I used to create a bag that's 5" tall, 4.5" wide, and 3" deep. Stack two sheets of newspaper on top of each other. This will be a two-ply bag for extra sturdiness.

How to build My 50 Dollar Greenhouse & The Door Garden - StumbleUpon

First off – you really can build this thing very cheaply, but to do so you have to recycle, freecycle, and scrounge. If you just go out and buy new everything it will probably cost over $200 – still not bad all in all. This Article is featured in Jan 2010 issue of Birds and Blooms Magazine! Want to find out if this thing works before you read all this? Read 6 months in the Greenhouse first.
{happy wednesday, crafters!} Hope your week is going wonderfully. Today I am showing off my corner shelf made from an old door . My corner door shelf is one of my all time favorite pieces of furniture! Davis and I made this about 5 years ago when we bought our first home. {sweet memories} Originally, I painted the door shelf an off white with a brown wash over it.

Hi. Iuliana from Hip2thrift here. If we’re gonna be friends, you need to know that I hate baking, and if we get to hang out together, the cookies will most likely be store bought. What does this have to do with this crochet lamp shade pattern, you ask? Nothing really, except to illustrate that when you bake you have to be exact, and like one of my awesome friends told me once, it is a science.
Amongst other things, I mentioned how wonderful they are for creating custom embellishments without the need for any fancy pants equipment. Yep, waterslide decal paper is a truly fab product, though as great as it is, there is one drawback – although it’s somewhat tough it’s not especially durable. So, whilst it’s perfect for ornamental purposes, it’s not ideal for more practical applications….until now that is! Magic decal coating paper is a product designed to be used in conjunction with standard decal paper to make the finished transfers durable – yes, even dishwasher resistant! If you’re already familiar with magic decal coating paper then please excuse my tardy excitement, though for everyone else who is just getting to the party now too, feel free to start throwing the streamers! My recently aquired assortment of SLOM jars from IKEA were awaiting some DIY craftiness and seemed the perfect victims candidates for my first magic decal experiment.
