Thread and Leather Wrap Bracelet Hello I Heart Naptime readers – I am excited to be here today for Jamielyn’s Summer series!

My name is Beverly and I blog at Flamingo Toes. I love sharing vintage style projects, easy jewelry tutorials and sewing and embroidery tutorials. Window Cornice. We found most of our blinds on craigslist and from Walmart for our new home, but this is the longest blind we could find for my son’s window.

Window Cornice

Obviously this wasn’t going to work, and we didn’t want to spend money to get a custom blind made, so I decided to make a cornice. The ones you buy weren’t the right size, so we measured the window and headed over to home depot to buy some wood. I had my handy husband do the drilling, and then it was ready for me to cover. I used about a 1 inch padding, and stapled it to the board. Then I used some extra fabric I had from my sons bedding(I had to buy 10 yards when I saw it was only $1 a yard) and stapled that to the board. Fat Quarter Pillow Tutorial. Today I have a great tutorial for this Fat Quarter Pillow.

DIY Father's Day Place Card. DIY Father’s Day Place Card – Father’s Day is making its way and I wanted to create a heartwarming DIY Place Card that will make any Father feel special.

DIY Father's Day Place Card

We always start “Dad’s Special Day” with a good hearty breakfast, which includes lots of bacon, pancakes and a good cup of coffee because everyone knows the way to a man’s heart is through food. But, before we show how much he is truly appreciated and before you cook a delicious breakfast, lunch, or dinner why not make him his own personalized place card that will warm his heart. It will be the first thing he sees before he eats the delicious meal that was prepared specially for him.

I knew that I didn’t want to make a paper place card, I wanted something sturdy, masculine, rough and tough and wood rounds were the perfect fit for this project. This DIY is so simple and the best part is that you can stamp any quote you love or simply write a sweet little note saying how much he is loved and appreciated. Thread and Leather Wrap Bracelet. It looks so cute in my new office space. Supplies: Fabric Fabric interfacing Scissors Duck tape Ribbon Instructions: Measure the exact size of your machine.
