How to make your own apothecary, make a super simple linen spray, and feel like a wizard | Offbeat Home

As a little girl I mixed up shampoos and lotions in my laboratory, trying to improve on the toiletries we had. I never came up with anything worth mentioning, but I did once get scolded for spilling my mom's shampoo all over the bathroom rug. A friend of mine told me about the "laboratory" she'd had at age 12, in which she created, among other things, the cure for AIDs. You probably won't cure any diseases with your apothecary, but you will scratch that youthful itch to create something useful out of ordinary ingredients. narfmore http://offbeathome.com/2011/03/apothecary-linen-spray

I chose Hampture

So, I have been prototyping different ideas for a safe airlock so that I can resupply each habitat with food without bringing it to the surface. It's a harder problem than it seems like. A moon pool won't suffice, since it lets in too much humidity over time and the hamsters quickly learn they can dive out of it. A double door airlock won't work because obviously they aren't smart enough to open the inner door by themselves and I can figure out no way of doing so from outside. So, what I have come up with is a single door airlock/moon pool combo.

Space Hams

With NASA resorting to Soviet rockets until the new heavy lifter is ready in 2015, the state of our manned space program seems pretty dire. Naturally in this economy, everyone's got to make sacrifices, and that means budget cutbacks. At the same time we cannot give up on the spirit of exploration, which leaves only one logical recourse. http://spacehams.blogspot.com/
http://projectearthrover.blogspot.com/ Still waiting on donations so I can buy components. In the meantime, here's a look at a similar endeavor, the senior project of a group of students at the University of Houston. There are actually a lot of videos of similar internet controlled robots on Youtube, the original inspiration for the project. I thought to myself, what if robots like these became a commonplace extension of the internet? What if for every location you can click on for info in Google Earth, you could also click "drive robot" and personally check it out?

Mash-Up Your Bootz Party Sampler

What better way to celebrate Star Wars Day than with two girls having a bubblebath lightsaber battle? The video is some sort of Axe body spray parody, but for some reason features Chewbacca, lightsabers, two girls in white tank tops, water, and bubbles. I'm not complaining, I just think you should know what you're getting yourself into. Throw in some bacon and maybe a dinosaur wrestling a robot and we may have the video of the year.

http://www.iwatchstuff.com/ The Twilight series has Robert Pattinson well trained in the arts of scowling and smirking. "Grrr, I'm a vampire," he scowls! "Now I'm happy I'm marrying my high school girlfriend," he smirks!
