SHiFT was trying to fill a gap within the portuguese knowledge and discussion panorama, to bring ideas and expose Portugal to the outside, in the meantime, other projects and conferences came to life, all of them very interesting. This raised a number of questions for us: should we continue? is SHiFT still relevant in the new panorama of conferences?
Our focus at lalalab is to turn around the public space and how such spaces can be transformed by new technologies.During recent years, it has produced a process of migration from physical public spaces towards digital spaces. Our intention is to rehabilitate physical places through the adoption of new technologies creating hybrid spaces.
