Course Prerequisites: Complete LIBR 203: Online Social Networking: Technology and Tools This is a mandatory 1 unit course that introduces students to the various e-learning tools used in the SLIS program, including Blackboard, Elluminate and Second Life. For more information, see Course Objectives Student learning outcomes LIBR 202 supports the following MLIS Core Competencies: Beta Phi Mu Headquarters. SLIS | Programs | Career Pathways | Youth Librarianship. These Career Pathways are presented as introductions to different careers and topics, and are intended to be used by students for career planning and course selection. Graduates with MLIS degrees work in many different organizational environments doing the work described in these Career Pathways.

They often use the same skills for different clients. As an MLIS student at SJSU SLIS, you have a lot of choice in your course selection and in the networking opportunities available to you. You have the opportunity to build skills that are useful in many different organizations and environments, and for both physical and virtual client groups.
