As with every room, it's ever evolving! So, today, I'm sharing my quick and easy tutorial for a hand-doodled craft container using markers from BIC Mark-It. I love these markers because they come in the dreamiest colors. Seriously, 36 gorgeous colors! When I say this project is easy, I mean it! To start, grab a white metal, plastic or ceramic container that will meet your storage needs.

When I had my gray triangle banners (don't they look like banners) drawn, I randomly colored in some with pretty colors. I finished my container with a sticky chalk label. The BIC Mark-It markers come in a great plastic case that makes it super easy to see each color, so, I decided to store them in their original packaging. The key to a tidy(ish) home office or craft space is to have a place for everything. Like what you see? I link up here and here! Storing Paper - ScrapInspired.com.

I admit it…I love to organize! And I know that many of you out there are trying to figure out how to organize your scrappy supplies. So today I thought I’d show you how I organize and store my paper. This is the main area of my scrap room. See the white drawers next to my desk? The first set of drawers is where I store my paper scraps. I sort many supplies by color, but that is especially true with paper. Drawer two holds yellow and green. Drawer three holds blue and purple. Next drawer holds browns. Then I have a drawer for black and white pattern papers.

And then the bottom drawer holds white cardstock. And yes, I use scraps all the time! In one corner of my scrap room I have this paper shelf (got it at a local scrapbook store closing for only $10…I know, right?!?) And then I have one more paper shelf for plain cardstock. Honestly I don’t use plain cardstock all that often anymore. There you have it…more details than you ever wanted to know about how I organize and store my paper!

Centsational Style. Written on July 26, 2012 at 11:00 am , by Kate Welcome to the third installment of a series exploring how to display artwork in your home! It began with how to display art in a symmetrical fashion and continued with tips on creative asymmetrical arrangements. One more way to add visual interest to your spaces is through wall galleries and eclectic collections curated with the purpose of reflecting your personality and design style. Meaningful objects on display bring warmth into your home, and there’s no need to restrict wall art to paintings, prints, or photographs. Everything from plates to mirrors to found treasures are all welcome choices! The first rule of thumb for creating a gallery of art in your home is to display what appeals to you most.

Whether it’s illustrations, old world maps, or pops of colorful abstract art, your home is happiest when your personal favorites are in the spotlight. Plates or platters are also great candidates for mingling with mirrors or other works of art. Art on door panels | crafts | Pinterest. Pin by Ann Hauth-Arritola on DIY Furnishings. This is Justin from Remodelaholic. Now that we’ve moved to a smaller home, that is lacking in the storage department, we have been searching far and wide for ways to hide all of our stuff. Every little space counts, right? So, when Cassity saw this cabinet door storage bin on Better Homes and Gardens she knew it was a great solution for our small home. She asked me if I could make this. I love to make things and told her absolutely, put it on my honey do list…(that seems to only get longer, and longer… and longer!) Behind the cabinet doors on our existing bathroom vanity, we have the perfect place for these storage bins. I wanted to share with you today, the plans on one way somebody could build them.

Make your own advent calendar. When M was younger I started making him an advent calendar. This now seems to have become a tradition. It is only the end of October and he has been asking about this years one. That got me thinking about what I could make this year. Since last year I've started using Pinterest a lot for inspiration. It is so easy to use. Just type in the subject you want to search for and lots of great pictures will be found for you. In the past we have made a train and a Christmas tree. This year I've decided to go a bit more grown up.

When I made the first advent calendar I went to a craft shop and bought the boxes. As I'm making this and not M I've decided to work leaving the matches in the boxes for now. Again to help keep things sturdy I decided to glue a piece of cereal box onto the side of the boxes. Ok so far so good. I've now found some nice glittery wrapping paper so I can get on with the Advent calendar.

Once I had all the boxes, top and base covered I stacked glued and stacked them up. Tiered Baskets. **I am only crafting what I have in my garage as of 9/26/2013. That is an important fact to remember in the month of October. Last month I went to an amazing garage sale. I went Friday morning, Friday afternoon and again on Saturday with my daughter. Several of the things I have crafted lately came from that garage sale. We I walked into the kitchen and saw the graduated wire baskets I knew they had to be mine.

As I got closer I was afraid that I would lose them to someone closer than I was. When I picked them up and saw that all three baskets where $2 I was so thrilled. I started with three baskets and some leftover spindle parts. Everything was primed and I found some knobs to use as finials. I used double sided screws and glue to put it all together. I used the third basket to make a small elevated container. Where I am partying: 2 Tier Desk Supply Organizer Caddy from Repurposed by seelamade. Pin by Abbey Hosken on Crafts. CRAFT. | DIY/Crafts.
