Baked Tim Tam Doughnut (Donut) Besides the Crocodile Dundee and Steve Irwin, one of the many things you should know about Australia is it is a home for the chocolate coated biscuits (with chocolate cream filling) called Tim Tams. Just ask any Australian about Tim Tams, and you’ll soon realise how obessessed the nation is with these chocolate coated biscuits. It’s hard to imagine how a humble chocolate coated biscuit can have such a strong hold on the nation’s sweet tooth right? Well, if you asked yourself this question, you really have to try this biscuit to see for yourself.

We will be here waiting to welcome you to the Tim Tam fan club. With our passion blazing all around Australia, Tim Tam got the hint (an understatement) and launched a “Truly, Madly, Tim Tam”campaign to showcase Australia’s love for Tim Tams through a series of short ads on The Arnott’s Australia Youtube Channel. Sounds like a good plan? Baked Tim Tam Doughnut (Donut) (recipe tweaked from Baking Bites which I’ve discovered through CaffeIna) Cream Cheese Banana Nut Bread - Southern Living. ***There seriously aren't very many things that smell better than Banana Nut Bread baking in the oven. Don't you agree? This recipe for Cream Cheese Banana Nut Bread from Southern Living magazine was one of the very first recipes that I added to this blog...back in November 2007!

In fact, I came across it when I worked for the magazine as a Marketing Intern. Back then, I didn't have a photo for every recipe, and the blog post was simply the recipe and nothing else. Because this is my go-to recipe for Banana Nut Bread (and because it is so amazing!) , I thought that it deserved a little more attention. This is quite honestly some of the best Banana Nut Bread that I've ever had. Another great thing about this recipe? Bon Appetit! Cream Cheese Banana Nut Bread***Makes 2 loaves*** Beat butter and cream cheese at medium speed with an electric mixer until creamy. Combine flour and next 3 ingredients; gradually add to butter mixture, beating at low speed just until blended.

Red Velvet Cheesecake Brownies. Sometimes, red velvet cakes are known more for their brilliant coloring than they are for their flavor because it is easier to simply make the cake look fancy than put together a great recipe. Flavor is unquestionably the most important thing for a baked good to have, but it sure doesn’t hurt to have a “wow” factor on top of that. These Red Velvet Cheesecake Brownies definitely have an impressive look and a delicious combination of flavors to back it up. Red velvet cake usually has a hint of both cocoa and buttermilk flavors to it and gets most of its color from the addition of red food coloring. For these brownies, I opted to leave out the buttermilk to keep a fudgy, brownie-like texture and add just enough food coloring to give these normally chocolate-colored brownies a deep red hue.

Red velvet cake is also usually topped off with a cream cheese frosting. 8-oz cream cheese, room temperature 1/3 cup sugar 1 large egg 1/2 tsp vanilla extract Preheat oven to 350F. - StumbleUpon. Irish Car Bomb Brownies. Irish Car Bomb Brownies There’s a silly old saying, “The Irish ignore anything they can’t drink or punch.” Well Irish Car Bomb Brownies pack the punch of a favorite Irish-inspired cocktail and are certainly hard to ignore. I admit, I’m not much of a drinker. My friends would tell you, there’s a particular margarita at a restaurant we go to, where one-quarter of it will put me under the table. They like to tease that I’m the best person to go to dinner with because they order one cocktail and get to drink two!

That’s not to say I don’t like a really boozed-up dessert here and there. These “Special Brownies” aren’t the old college variety, but they are POWERFUL, laced with not one, but three alcoholic beverages like a traditional Irish Car Bomb cocktail. Irish Car Bomb Brownies are sinful on so many levels. Yet if there was ever a time to have such a treat, I’d say Saint Patrick’s Day is the day. Work is the curse of the drinking class. ~ Oscar Wilde Print Save Yield: 12-18 brownies Directions: Sex in a Pan. Sex in a Pan – crazy name for a dessert, but it’s one of the best desserts you’ll ever have, it’s mostly a pudding dessert with a crunchy pecan bottom crust. Don’t laugh at the name of this dessert! OK, you can laugh, it is funny. I have no idea why it’s called sex in a pan, maybe because it’s so good.

I remember a long time ago, before I was married, and used to live on my own, one weekend my friend came over and she introduced me to this dessert. I had no idea what it was, but she promised me I was going to love it so we made it. Oh my God, it was unbelievable. I was in love, I had never had anything like it before. Here’s what the layers look like. I just had to share this wonderful dessert with you. Update: Since I originally wrote this post, I’ve made sex in a pan numerous time since it’s a favorite at my house. From my Easy to Bake, Easy to Make recipe box. THE BEST Chocolate Cake. Ever! This is really the best, most moist, most rich, most chocolatiest cake I’ve ever made.

I know there are other chocolate cakes out there that claim to be the best. Folks, let me tell you, I’ve tried them. And I can still assure you that this one, no really, THIS one…. This one’s the best. Just try it. Just once. Are you ready? Here’s your ingredients for the cake. You know what the best part about this cake is? All you do is dump everything except the chocolate chips into a very large bowl– A 4 qt bowl or larger is perfect, but be warned, one of those 8 cup mixing bowls is too small. Then stir in 2 cups of chocolate chips– pictured here are regular sized chocolate chips. Now, pour your batter into your cake pan of choice. I like to bake my cakes in two, 9-inch pie pans. Oh man… It’s so hard to not just rip into right now while it’s warm and fresh out of the oven… But wait!

While it’s cooling, we’ll make The Best Buttercream Frosting Ever. Here are your ingredients for the frosting. Apple Fritters | When I was a little girl, about 6-7 years old, I had a BIG dream. My mom to this day reminds me that I used to tell almost everyone I met how I wanted to own my very own business. I was going to be the most popular girl in the neighborhood and everyone would love me. I didn’t want her to worry though because of course I would give family and friends a discount. My dream was to open a donut shop!!! Yep, and I was going to work there and eat donuts every single day. My favorites were bear claws, apple fritters, and of course donut holes! Not much has changed from my favorite’s list; but I have given up my dream on owning a donut shop, or at least it has transformed into a much more ritzy and eclectic “cafe/bakery/bookstore/homemade pottery/photography studio/the-best-place-on-earth” kind of store.

Another great story I remember about donuts, specifically apple fritters, is one sunday morning mom and I went for donuts and I was still totally gung-ho and serious about my dream. Kali orexi, S Newest Recipes:Lemon Velvet Cream Pie Recipe. Gallery - dessertstalker.

Cake. Cranberry Baklava Recipe. Kelly Neil, Halifax photographer - kellyneil.com - Chai-Spiced Rice Krispie Squares. I have eaten four 8 x 8 pans of Rice Krispie Squares over the last three weeks. Considering Sean doesn't love Rice Krispie Squares the way that I do, I figure I've eaten about 240 large Jet Puffed marshmallows, over 1 cup of butter and 22 Cups of Rice Krispies. That's a lot of Rice Krispies.

Although nothing beats the standard marshmallow/vanilla version, after the second pan, I decided I wanted to jazz them up a little bit - introduce a little spice to my vanilla-flavoured world. Since the cooler weather has me thinking of curling up in a cozy sweater sipping on a cup of Chai, I thought about it - why not add a little homemade Chai Spice to the melted marshmallow? Oh yeah - now we're talkin'. Homemade Chai Spice In a small bowl, mix: 3 tsp cardamom, 1 tsp ginger, 1 tsp cinnamon, 1/2 tsp nutmeg, 1/2 tsp allspice, 1/4 tsp cloves, 1/4 tsp white pepper Chai-Spiced Rice Krispie Squares Buttered 8 x 8 Square Pan 1/4 C Butter + 1 Tbsp 1 package (250g) Jet Puffed Marshmallows 1 tsp Vanilla.
