The participants of the study are 20 primary education teachers. In this study, a semi-structured interview technique was used. For content analysis, the themes and codes were defined, based on the views of the teachers. According to the findings, the teachers had lack of proficiency in the parts of the lesson which was lectured by using the constructivist approach and it was seen for this reason that the teachers used only the introduction and evaluation steps in applying the mind mapping technique to the parts of the lessons.
