Cloudy Clouds. Click Here to Bid (8x8in.) Here's another version of my on-top-of-the-butte-in-Eugene-vista (complete with super-catchy title). I decided to focus more on the sky with this one. My picture of the scene actually has the previous painting in the holder, but I did both of these from life. You can see that it's pretty crispy here in Eugene (now, at the end of summer), but it makes for some great contrast!

Ecorche´- study of muscle anatomy in clay | Lori Kiplinger Pandy. Jarrera : the model with the painting. What It Isn't About . . . . Painting at Garrapatta State Park, California Click on the Image to Enlarge Dressed in a down vest, woolen fingerless gloves, sometimes long underwear, a neck scarf and all manner of warmth conserving garments, I go out to paint in some amazing places. Standing out where the wind can pick an easel up and heave it 30 or 40 feet and where a misstep could mean a 100 foot fall to my death, I paint with all the zeal I can muster.

Why would anyone want to endure such discomfort and flirt with such danger, you ask? Is it in pursuit of the perfect painting? Is it to capture that elusive special painting that some unsuspecting customer might decide that he or she just HAS to have? Is it really that important to be on the site of the landscape? Well, it certainly is NOT about comfort or convenience. When the brush is in hand, nothing else matters. It isn't all just about the painting. How could anyone find that exciting? Well, let me explain . . . . .as best as words will let me . . . . . Office Space: usualtime.mp3. Jarrera : Penny by Wil Freeborn... Avengers 34 (Final Issue) Variant Cover. I guess I miss a lot when I leave the country. This variant cover is out now, though I'm not sure how easy it will be to find.

It features more characters than I'm used to drawing in a single image, but I had a lot of fun with it (I don't know how other artists manage do a team book every month). I had a great deal of help from my art director, George Beliard, who provided me with mounds of reference for each character and situation. I usually keep track of my "man hours" for every project and I'd like to start sharing those numbers with readers, especially for those who are artists themselves. My total hours were about 32, which doesn't include flatting and inking. Here's the breakdown: Pencils: 14.5Composite: 4Layouts: 6Colors: 7. Wacky Reference Wednesdays, No. 208. Daredevil #22 is out today! I provided the cover for the issue, my first time drawing the Superior Spider-Man, whose first appearance in the Marvel Universe happened last issue. Details and a preview can be found here (it includes a 4-word phrase never before uttered in any language).

I recorded the digital sketching portion of this cover, so I hope to edit that together into a video soon. Speaking of Superior Spidey, Avenging Spider-Man #16 is also out today. That cover will be the subject of next week's Wacky Reference Wednesday. This cover was done so close to the deadline that I sent the blue-line to my Dad before I had finished penciling the background. The missing portion was added digitally by increasing the contrast and editing in Photoshop. The Three Pubs of Chartham. On my recent trip back to the UK I was able to spend time with my parents in each of their three local pubs. The Artichoke (middle drawing) has to be my favorite, this 15th century old inn has three working fireplaces and a well inside.

Great beer, great food and what I really like about it, no television, how many places would even dare to be so bold? "Long Legs" female figure painting portrait nude oil on canvas. 11 x 14" oil on canvas Sold If every night was like last night, life would be a dream. As an artist, I live for the rare moments when my brush feels like it's moving itself, and each stroke is more satisfying than the last.

When I finished this painting, my heart was beating out of my chest! The best thing about painting experiences like these, though, is that I know someday in the future I'll have an even better one. 3D Artworks by Soa Lee. Soa Lee is a 3D artist based in Yongin, Korea (South). She uses 3D Studio Max to create beautiful CG portraits and digital female characters that are lifelike and stunningly detailed.
