7 Things Successful People Do Every Day. I have been interviewing over 30 multimillionaires, 5 billionaires, world-class athletes, NYT bestselling authors, and billionaires. Moreover, having a family member who has been ranked # 21 wealthiest person in the US and #41 in the world by Forbes a few years back, gave me some insides on what ultra successful people do daily to become the best in the world. 1. Successful people exercise their body first thing in the morning to gain energy for the rest of the day. It could be anything starting from stretching and yoga to running and weigh lifting. 2. Successful people plan their day before taking on their first task. Luminaries value their time more than anyone else. 3. They apply 80/20 rule. 20% of their tasks bring 80% result in their business. 4. Every single day successful people take one or more risks in their business. 5. Successful people take full responsibility for anything they do. 6.

While the masses want to be entertained, world-class wants to be educated. 7. Develop Perfect Memory With the Memory Palace Technique. The Memory Palace is one of the most powerful memory techniques I know. It’s not only effective, but also fun to use — and not hard to learn at all. The Memory Palace has been used since ancient Rome, and is responsible for some quite incredible memory feats. Eight-time world memory champion Dominic O’Brien, for instance, was able to memorize 54 decks of cards in sequence (that’s 2808 cards), viewing each card only once. And there are countless other similar achievements attributed to people using the Memory Palace technique or variations of it.

Even in fiction, there are several references to the technique. In Thomas Harris’ novel Hannibal, for example, serial killer Hannibal Lecter uses Memory Palaces to store amazingly vivid memories of years of intricate patient records (sadly, it was left off the movie). Of course, most of us are not in Dominic’s memory championship line of business (or in Hannibal’s line of business for that matter). The Memory Palace 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. Final Thoughts. Using Confident Eye-Contact. People with low self-esteem tend to have difficulty holding eye contact and, as well as being correctly interpreted for what it is, it can also be misunderstood as being shiftless or lying. But correctly applied, eye contact is one of the surest indicators of confidence and therefore it is well worth practicing to ensure you come off as neither too domineering, nor too meek. Try this Imagine that you are attending a job interview for a position you are keenly interested in. Visualize the person conducting the interview as a clean shaven man in his fifties with brown hair that’s well on its way to going gray, and kind, blue eyes that seem to encourage you to talk.

Now imagine that you have been asked a question and you want to answer it well. There’s no need to invent an actual discussion. Now for many people this kind of making and breaking of eye contact comes entirely naturally. Understanding how we move our eyes Figure 1: Looking top-left and top-right. An astronaut's advice. FreshBooks. Confidence is a key ingredient to success, but a lot of business owners try to develop it the wrong way. Ben’s inability to find true confidence had stalled his brand consulting business for years. It was actually a mentor of his, another brand consultant named Deidre, who wisely pointed this out to Ben. She tried to help him with his confidence, but to no avail. That’s when Deidre, who I had coached, sent him to me.

Blowing it When I first got together with Ben a few years ago, he explained his frustration. He’d been out on his own for a few years and the only clients he seemed to ever get were small ones. Deidre, who had subcontracted Ben to help out with a couple of big projects, recognized his lack of confidence straight away. Wildly successful people During our first meeting, I told Ben that while Deidre meant well, she’d given him a bum steer. Trade-show revelation “Ben,” I said, “what’s the first thing you notice when you step into Deidre’s office?”
