The prize is awarded to Janet Kelly (University of Southern Denmark) and Ben Matthews (University of Queensland) for their paper ‘Displacing use: Exploring alternative relationships in a human-centred design process’, published in Vol. 35, Issue 4 (July 2014). The Design Studies Award is made annually, jointly by the Design Research Society and the journal publishers, Elsevier. It comprises a certificate and a prize of £500.
