As Google just added yet another divine quality to its already quite potent set of services to us humble servants of Google. : ) But let me back track first for those of you who have never thought about the Godly attributes of the all-mighty Google, and lets start with the definition of “God” according to WikiPedia (btw I found the page by consulting Google) “God is most often conceived of as the supernatural creator and overseer of the universe. Theologians have ascribed a variety of attributes to the many different conceptions of God. In that short amount of time, they’ve managed to sign up well north of 10 million users, which is amazing. Of course, the easiest path to tens of million of users is to start with hundreds of millions of users. Just ask Buzz or Wave. Still, kudos to Google (GOOG) — phase one of G+ was clearly a success. Now comes the hard part: keeping those users around and engaged. Some numbers today released by Experian Hitwise suggest that Google+ has already started to experience the sophomore slump. While it’s totally circumstantial, my own observations and usage seem to support this data as well. As a “power user”, I know that I’m a bit of a weird use case when it comes to sharing. But now things are calming down. Google gave users a compelling reason to sign up, now they need to provide a compelling reason for coming back. Google Plus Best Practices: Trey Ratcliff, Artist. Google Plus, the new social network from Google, has been rapidly expanding.
But contrary to early perception, it isn't just being used by techies to talk about Google Plus. Trey Ratcliff is a well-known photographer and already Google Plus has become his main social platform - despite already having large fan bases on Facebook and Twitter. Trey, a leading exponent of the HDR photography technique (high dynamic range imaging), runs a very popular travel photography blog called StuckInCustoms.com.

Business profiles are coming to Google Plus around the third quarter of this year, according to a story on VentureBeat. While Google hasn't revealed many details about what the brand profiles will include, a Google representative told VentureBeat that users should expect "a level of analytics and measurement that you'd typically find in Google products," hinting at the inclusion of analytics in business accounts. Google is urging brands to wait for these official business profiles rather than set up their own, which the company said would not be able to be automatically migrated once the brand profiles launch. Google+ seemed like a boys club at first, but recent estimates point to a growing number of women using the Internet search giant's social networking service.
Just this week, Paul Allen of FamilyLink and Ancestry.com fame said a third of Google+ users are now female. That's a big jump from previous guesses that put the percentage at a quarter, a tenth or even less. Allen's estimates, which use census data and statistics on the frequency of certain last names occurring within the overall U.S. population, have proven to be surprisingly accurate. Previously, Allen correctly predicted that total Google+ users would soon exceed 10 million. "The poster of 18 men in a hot tub that has been passed around for the past week or two is not reflective of reality and is not what Google+ is going to end up being," Allen wrote on Google+.
