Rural family poultry (RFP) are a valuable asset to local populations as they contribute significantly to food security, poverty alleviation and the promotion of gender equality, especially in disadvantaged groups and less favoured areas of rural Africa. The JP on is also aligned with MDG 1, 3 and 7, with the SDG 1, 2, 4, 8 and 16, and contributes to UNDAF outcome 1,3,4,5.
