UNKLE en concert, Londres, 2008 UNKLE est un collectif de trip hop/abstract hip-hop anglais qui a vu le jour dès les débuts du label Mo'Wax sous la tutelle du producteur James Lavelle. À l'origine appelé U.N.K.L.E., le nom du groupe perd ses points lors de la sortie de son premier album. Chronologie[modifier | modifier le code] Le collectif se fait quelque peu oublier, puis réapparaît en 1998 pour la sortie de leur premier album, Psyence Fiction, où Tim Goldsworthy et Kudo ont été remplacés par DJ Shadow. En 2003, un nouvel album Never, Never, Land sort aux sonorités électro. En 2007, War Stories, un troisième album fusionnant l'électro au rock avec toujours James Lavelle et Richard File aux manettes sort sur le nouveau label Surrender All. En 2008, en pleine tournée, Richard File passe le relais à Pablo Clements, ancien membre de The Psychonauts.
