How to Make a Stencil
Stenciling is a super useful technique that is great for many applications. You can stencil onto clothing, sewn goods, or hard household items. If you're intimidated by cutting your own stencils, don't be. You can do it! One of the wonderful things about stenciling is that you can achieve near-perfect results, or a more handmade look depending on what you want and your attention to detail.
This beautiful wallet is made out of a map. I made it for my boyfriend for valentines day. Of course you could make it with any paper you really like.

Hi everybody! Is anyone else glad that the temp is starting to come down a little? I am SUPER excited about that!
I first saw the tutorial for printing on fabric here . It is so easy! You start with some spray adhesive: Spray it onto a piece of cardstock and place your fabric on top, being sure to get out as many bubbles as possible. (I recommend spraying the adhesive outside.)

Don't you guys love Pinterest? That's where I found this idea . Here's a great way to save some money on your craft addictions; make you own Decoupage! And it really works plus it's easy to do.
I remember doing this project when I was young-- one of my favorites. I loved the process of making it, the way the colors looked next to each other, how the layers undulated in the jar. I remember begging my mother to let me do this more. She claimed that it used too much salt – way too expensive. Given that the salt I bought my children was $0.50 a canister and could make four of these each, I realize now that my mother was avoiding the mess-- Hrmmph. Well, fair warning, this is a salty mess, but oh so much fun.

They’ve introduced “Green Roof Animal Homes” that ‘smell good, grow plants, attract butterflies, filter water, insulate, and repeal fleas naturally.’ Each home is custom-built and uses only non-toxic materials, including untreated red cedar planks, zero-VOC paint, and beeswax waterproofing. All vegetation for the green roof is native to the region you live in. Pretty cool idea — and something nice for those that would prefer not to take a hands-on approach.

TAY TOWNSHIP - Ontario Provincial Police are being tight-lipped about the death of a 27-year-old Tay Township man. Members of the Southern Georgian Bay OPP detachment are investigating a Saturday night incident in Port McNicoll, which claimed the life of James Pirie. "I really don't want to speak to it much at all," Const. David Hobson said on Sunday. "That's why it's somewhat vague."

Because the kitchen is typically the most used room in the house, it's extremely important to ensure that it's organized and functional for all the action that it receives! This isn't always an easy task and often times takes some patience and planning! Which explains why I received the following question from a reader, along with many other's just like it: "Dear Jen, do you have any tips on how to organize kitchen cabinets for maximum storage and efficiency? I would love to see the layout of your kitchen and behind all those cabinet doors!" So I finally got off of my tush and went through our entire kitchen to take pictures of the insides of each and EVERY cabinet and drawer.
I wanted to put together a couple of posts sharing the things we are doing to prepare for the new school year. First, I shared how we are getting back into a new sleep routine and today, I thought I would touch on school lunches! We do our best to pack the kid's their lunches since it's such a huge money saver. Once a week, we allow them to snag up a lunch from school, since it's a special treat. We have them look at the school menu ahead of time, pick a day to eat school lunch, and the rest are packed by the hubs and I. This year I would love to be really organized when it comes to packing up lunches.
