I don’t know about you, but every year we know of quite a few graduates. To save money, and to add a personal touch to what is usually a card full of money, I made these mini graduation cards. Darling Doilies. Last week the weather felt like Spring and it was a tease.

The unfortunate truth is that winter is here to stay a bit longer so I’m forcing myself to enjoy it by picking out some of my most favorite wintry details. Although growing up I associated doilies with Valentine’s Day and grandmothers, I have seen so many beautiful ways in which doilies are used in the wedding and decor world that now it reminds me of delicate lace or snowflakes, a beautiful detail for any wedding!

We got third place- and we’re moving on to round 2! Yikes! My project was the book clutch…this is the post:A little vintage book… upon further review is actually a clever clutch. This upcycled clutch is sure to be a conversation starter wherever you go. Made from a vintage book and old bag found at the thrift store melded together to create this little gem of a purse. This is big news. I do not decorate. Arguably, one of the reasons why is because I. absolutely. hate. to. buy. mass. produced. decor. (Also, I can’t ever remember if pink and purple go together or not.) Anyway, this extends to photo frames. Nope. Long story short, I discovered this method of transferring my photos cheaply, quickly, and beautifully to something uncommon and unique. Tiles. The only thing that’s not particularly crunchy about this is that it uses Modge Podge or similar (and I’m not sure what’s in Modge Podge).

It’s just grainy and doesn’t dry clearly. Boo. Stab Bound Journal. Make a hand bound journal with elaborate side stitching for yourself or as a gift.

The stitching is a lot easier than it looks and is so much nicer to hold than a spiral bound edge.
