25 Adorable Japanese Sweets That Might Be Too Cute To Eat. Laser Cut M-6 Carnifex Rubber Band Gun from Mass Effect - All. Ever since I was a kid I have always wanted a rubber band gun. Growing up, my parents would never buy me one because they were afraid I would hurt myself. Now that I'm an adult, I'm old enough to make my own! My urge to own one started when I walked down a toy store with my girlfriend to browse around, and saw the rubber band guns on sale, which were not cheap! So, since I work at the tool shop in my college I'm attending, I decided to make my own rubber band gun. As an avid Mass Effect fan, I decided this would be a great opportunity to make one based on it. Not only is it a fun toy, but also a great prop for fans! Big shout out to the YouTube user: RBguns for his designs and free plans for his rubber band guns. And following with RBguns' style, I will be giving out the laser cut files for free in this tutorial!

10 Outstanding LGBTQ Documentaries You Can Watch Online for Free. Nirvana and Red Hot Chili Peppers Still Rock on a Korean Gayageum. If you want to pay homage to Nirvana, the spirit of ’90s Seattle grunge, and great music, all while trying to keep things fresh, original, and cutting edge, it’s pretty obvious what you have to do: just play “Smells Like Teen Spirit” on an ancient Korean instrument. If you don’t believe me, just listen to this great version from Luna Lee, a musician who uses a Korean gayageum to play awesome and unique sounding covers of rock songs. This version of Nirvana’s most well known song (it is, fight me) is great, and absolutely needs to be used in a movie. I imagine some of you are like me and have heard or seen this instrument before, but don’t know all that much about it, so let’s go to the Encyclopedia just like people would have during the decade Nirvana recorded Nevermind (yes we’re cheating and using an online one).

Lee also recently did a version of the Red Hot Chili Peppers‘ “Californication” that is really kind of mesmerizing. Which one of Luna Lee’s gayageum covers is your favorite? 30 bootleg albums you need to hear. 50 songs that give you goosebumps. The most important PC games. Half-Life Released: November 1998 | Developer: Valve Why it's important: It redefined our expectations for an FPS overnight, including complex scripted sequences, set-pieces and constant immersion in a world that didn’t just play by its own rules, but taught them.

Discrete levels, briefings… after Half-Life, they all felt so old, with poor SiN in particular immediately being punted into the history bin. There is PC gaming before Half-Life, and PC gaming after Half-Life. Its influence is so huge that this entire feature could be devoted to it and you probably still wouldn’t have covered it all. But let’s stick strictly to the topic of first-person shooters, the genre that blew up upon its release in 1998. Half-Life made every other shooter seem dated and last-gen on the day of its release. And then there was the gameplay. Half-Life made every other shooter seem dated and last-gen on the day of its release, and no shooter released since has ever escaped its shadow or influence. Ellen Page, Natasha Lyonne and other celebs take on Justin Bieber's "Sorry" Adorable Baby Meerkats Adventure Outside Their Nest for the Very First Time. On January 7th, two adorable baby meerkats were born at Sydney's Taronga Zoo and they recently began to wander outside their nest box. "They were initially a little wary of this big new world outside, but with a bit of encouragement from mum and dad they started to explore," zookeeper Courtney Mahony told Mashable.

This milestone is especially meaningful because this marks the first meerkat birth in nearly seven years at the zoo. As of right now, the pups weigh around 120 grams and they're developing fast. Later this month, their gender will be confirmed (though zookeepers suspect they're a boy and a girl) and they will also receive health checks and vaccinations. "They may be young, but they’re already showing signs of their own little personalities," Mahony explained. "Our male is the bigger of the two and he’s more adventurous and inquisitive, while the female is quieter and prefers to stay close to mum. " 15 Minimalist Tattoo Ideas To Get Inspired By. Rare White Giraffe Is Spotted in Tanzania. This beautiful baby giraffe can really stand out in a crowd. Spotted over a year ago roaming the Tarangire National Park, she has been sighted again this year, alive and well.

This is really good news because as lovely as her colouration is, it may also make her a greater target for poachers and natural predators in the wild. Christened by a local guide as “Omo” after a popular brand of detergent in Tanzania, she draws her rare white colouring from a condition known as leucism. Leucism is a partial loss of cellular pigmentation which results in Omo’s pale, patchy colour. As the only known white giraffe in the area, Omo is a rare find. Imam Mustafa Efe may be known for leading prayers in his Istanbul-based mosque, but there's something else the world's now learning about him: he's a devoted animal lover. Last year, Imam Efe opened his mosque's doors to the many stray cats and kittens that roam Istanbul's streets. He hopes the feline "guests" (as he calls them) can find warmth and safety in his mosque and, based on one mother cat's actions, it definitely seems as though Imam Efe accomplished his goal.

One by one, the mama cat carried her newborn kittens into the mosque, up the stairs, and to the pulpit where sermons are delivered. Many other strays even choose to sit in on Imam Efe's sermons, possibly as a sign of respect for the man who's given them a home. To see the adorable mama cat carry her kittens into the mosque, make sure to check out the video below. Photo via İbrahim Düzkalem Left photo via Kuzeyin Huysuz Kızı.

The 100 Best Tracks of 2015. There are two sides to DJ Koze: the hypnotizing shaman who spins one groove into another with ultimate finesse, and the winking illusionist who laughs at the shaman idea and teases you for your mindless devotion. Viewed alongside the finely tuned whimsy of his excellent DJ-Kicks mix from this year, "XTC" is a pretenseless, steady burner. Its lush, trance-inducing atmosphere, detailed with Koze’s typical quirky percussion, makes it one of his most straightforwardly satisfying recent productions. But it's just like Koze not to leave it there: a woman’s voice, ruminating on what ecstasy might provide for someone seeking enlightenment, emerges out of the mix.

"I heard you say once that a lie is sweet in the beginning, and bitter in the end," she murmurs. It’s a straightforward monologue with ambiguous implications. DJ Koze: "XTC" (via SoundCloud) The 50 Best Albums of 2015. "Hollywood", the centerpiece of Tobias Jesso Jr.’s debut album Goon, offers a cautionary tale to those enraptured by bright lights, huge billboards, and glistening walks of fame. "Think I’m gonna die in Hollywood," sings Jesso, who spent some of his twenties haplessly trying to become a big time pop songwriter in Los Angeles, dreaming of working with his favorite artist, Adele. It is a somber song about failure, written by a guy coming to terms with his own youthful illusions. So it’s more than a little ironic that "Hollywood" caught Adele’s ear earlier this year, causing her to enlist Jesso to write for her record-busting new album.

If Jesso’s unlikely redemption story was the plot of an actual Hollywood film, it would be tough not to call bullshit. Tobias Jesso Jr.: "Hollywood"
