Cyberneticzoo.com. Kilian Eng on the Behance Network. The Diagram Queen. The Diagram Queen Works by Korean artist Minjeong An (born 1981) Update / Anatomy of a post: Researching another Korean artist, I stumbled upon a thumbnail of Minjeong An's work in a Korean gallery's archived 2008-ish exhibit.
After a good hour of googling and google-translating Hangul (phew), I finally hit on the artist's site. (Using Google Translate for proper names is less than ideal as their transliteration varies widely.) Anyway, I posted these early morning January 10 and after a few hours Minjeong's site crashed ("bandwidth exceeded" message). I added links to some full-size images in the captions, at least until Minjeong's site is back up. Drawings by Luis Bagaría, mostly for the Spanish journal Le Sol in the 1920s Luis Bagaría (Barcelona, 1882 – Havana, 1940) was one of most important Spanish caricaturists in the first half of the 20th century.
His drawings, in a synthetic and decorative style, were published in the most important journals of Spain from 1906 to 1940.Though born in Barcelona, it was in Madrid where he achieved great popularity and fame. He published in the journal El Sol, and drew the covers of España magazine. His caricatures against fascism during the war provoked his exile to Paris and into Cuba. [via wikipedia] I stumbled upon almost 500 of Bagaría's drawings at the Colecciones Artísticas Fundación Mapfre, where you can see them at huge sizes. More From Carnival 2012. So many great photographs from this year's Carnival Season have been appearing that I just had to feature more of them today, including scenes from New Orleans, Spain, Germany, and Brazil.
Today is Ash Wednesday, the first day of Lent, and Carnival celebrations have now come to a close. Across Europe and the Americas, parades and festivals have been taking place for nearly a month, culminating in the largest, most famous party of all: the Carnival in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. In Rio this weekend, millions took to the streets for days of rowdy, joyous parades and festivities, bringing the nation to a halt for its annual wild party.

French food designer Emilie de Griottes was recently commissioned by French culinary magazine Fricote to create a special feature for their latest issue.
Emilie recreated Pantone colour swatches. using berries, carrots, lemon, candies, and other foods arranged upon a tart base decorated with the correspondent Pantone number and colour.
