Ms. Jessie Webster, from Sweet Thing , has long been someone I’ve admired from afar. She simply embodies that serious cool factor that you just can’t fake.

Handcraft Your Life Blog + Web Series by Lia Griffith

THE PROJECT: Above are three samples of video tutorials that I created for Ellinée. It's been great to test them with our blog readers as they have been a huge hit. I've caught the video production bug and have so many great ideas I want to share, so I am going to do it. . . produce a series of 52 "Handcraft Your Life" videos in the next 12 months.

DIY | Hello!Lucky blog

Valentine’s Day is definitely one of our favorite holidays to celebrate. Christmas, Thanksgiving, Fourth of July, they’re all a blast, but when we’re given the thumbs up to decorate with all the pinks, fuchsias and reds we wish, we’re overjoyed. Our Love/Valentine’s card collection is one of our strongest (especially with the latest additions by Lisa Congdon ) and our Big Day Pinterest Inspiration Board is overflowing with hearts and love. But it’s really gearing up for the big 2/14 that get’s us in the mood. The beauty of this DIY (found and inspired by the ladies at Design Mom !) http://www.hellolucky.com/wordpress/tag/diy/
Remember the perpetual calendar printable ? It’s been pretty popular over the last couple of months, and it got me thinking of more… So I’ve created its companion piece – the weekly organizer! This is another 11”x14” printable, perfect for framing under glass and transforming into a dry-erase board . http://www.sprikspace.com/2010/11/hows-your-week-shaping-up.html

I love tortoises. Many years ago, Pat and I rescued a Sulcata tortoise hatchling from a pet store. Sandy went everywhere with us. I had a leash and she would sit outside and ‘graze’ on the grass with us when we set up at fairs and festivals. At home, she would come out of her house and watch tv with us. She loved bananas and romaine lettuce. http://rockin4god.com/2011/05/pete-and-repeat/

Tutorials for Recycling T-Shirts

So way way back, in June, I wrote this Studio Organization post, about starting the process of organizing my studio by cleaning out the closet full of junk. Well, it's September and...let's just say the closet is a work in progress. Some of the things that are taking up space in the closet are shirts that I never wear anymore. I realized I could repurpose them into something else! Here are some tutorials for recycling shirts: http://www.julieannart.com/2011/09/tutorials-for-recycling-t-shirts.html
When I was in college, I received an assignment that required digging through the school archives. I found photos of past students wearing plaid skirts, fitted chenille shirts, saddle shoes, and oversized varsity cardigans — how much more collegiate cute can you get? To express my affinity for that look, I created my own vintage-inspired cardigan. I learned the skills needed to pull of simple fabric appliqué from our June Book of the Month , and dove into embroidery after reading our interview with Jenny Hart , so I luckily had two skills that were perfect for this project. So, welcome to Professor Angela’s Vintage Varsity Cardi 101! http://blog.modcloth.com/2011/09/23/vintage-varsity-diy-letterman-cardigan-applique/#more-39715

...love Maegan: DIY Home Fashion+Home+Lifestyle Blog

http://www.lovemaegan.com/search/label/DIY%20Home A few weeks ago, after what seemed like a never-ending decor battle with my console table design layout {I know, so dramatic}, I decided that the wall above it, which is part of it, needed something that was pretty enough to draw attention but not so much as to distract the eye. It seemed like every mirror or work of art I hung or placed there became the focal point of the room, creating too much fuss, and it just wasn't working for me. It was then that I decided I needed something similar in color to the wall rather than contrasting it... and then as if from the heavens above, it finally hit me.
