How to Watch YouTube on Your PC or Mac, Without Flash. Hello there! If you are new here, please consider subscribing to the RSS feed or following us on Twitter to receive site updates. There’s no way to say it nicely – Flash is a resource hog. On a beefy machine, you might not notice it, but if you’re running something like an older MacBook Air, Flash could bog your system down. You can try living without Flash – or even use a browser plugin to block it, but then you run into problems on a site like YouTube. Fear not, though, as YouTube gives you an option to watch videos without using Flash.
The trick on YouTube is to join the HTML 5 trial. The trial is available for browsers that support both the video tag in HTML5, and either the h.264 video codec or the WebM format. This recipe was inspired by the one tablespoon of Ceviche prepared by Mary Sue Milliken that I had at the Cadillac Culinary Challenge in October. It was served in a little plastic glass, but the taste impact of the Aji Amarillo Pepper Sauce was so profound I had to try to make it myself. I can’t remember the last time I experienced a totally new taste or ingredient, but this was definitely one of those times. I watched her prepare the ceviche and listened carefully as she explained the recipe as she went along. As I prepared my version I wrote down the amount of each ingredient I used and was very satisfied with my end result. Chef Mary Sue used Red Snapper in her recipe, but I chose to use a less expensive (think cheap) fish called Swai, which is a fresh water Catfish from Vietnam found in the Mekong River Basin. Ceviche is fresh raw fish that is “cooked” by marinating in citrus juice, usually lime juice.

How-To Decrypt DVDs with HandBrake (So You Can Rip Them) Ripping DVDs is a great way to keep a backup and stream videos over your network. The process typically takes 2-3 different programs to accomplish the task. Here’s how you can skip a step and decrypt DVDs using HandBrake. HandBrake has long been a favorite of How-To Geek and we have shown you a couple different ways that you can use it to rip DVDs and TV shows to your hard drive for storage and playback. This process always involves installing a DVD decrypter first to break the Content Scramble System (CSS) copy protection so your transcoder (HandBrake) can read the information and copy it to a self contained video file.
This method works fine but it means that your decrypter needs to be able to decrypt anything that you want to rip. Unlike either Facebook or Google+, Unthink says that users will have complete ownership of the personal data – things like names, ages, religion, political leanings and sexual orientation – that they add to their Unthink profile. Facebook, on the other hand, uses everything from personal data to users’ photos to custom tailor advertising. Despite the revolutionary talk of Unthink, the company will still sell advertising.
