Réactiver vos PPA après une mise à niveau ou une nouvelle installation avec Y PPA Manager. Si vous êtes comme moi et que vous aimez «pimper» votre Ubuntu, vous aurez très certainement eu recours à des dépôts tiers (ou PPA: Personal Package Archives) vous permettant de garder à jour les logiciels et outils que vous avez découverts, appréciés et adoptés.
L’inconvénient lorsqu’on procède à une mise à niveau d’Ubuntu est que ce processus désactive tous les dépôts tiers, et qu’il vous appartient de les réactiver manuellement ensuite, un par un, sans savoir au préalable si ces dépôts ont eux aussi migré vers la plus récente mouture du SE, actuellement la 12.4 LTS, Precise Pengolin. (C’est fou ce qu’on découvre d’animaux qu’on pensait même pas qu’ils existaient.) Le même ennui survient si vous décidez de réinstaller Ubuntu. ce qui supprime évidemment toutes vos allégeances et vous oblige à vous réabonner à tous ces PPA que vous aviez patiemment accumulés… et que vous avez bien sûr pris soin de noter auparavant.
