Since the launch of Google Plus project yesterday, we have been trying to grab an invite and today we are able to get one. It’s overall a nice piece of work done by the engineers. Although there is some look and feel very similar to Facebook but I would not blame anyone for it as that is ease of use. On the other hand Folks at Google have tried their best to overcome the limitation of Facebook.

Salk Institute Study on regulation of p53
Scientists at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies have found clues to the functioning of an important damage response protein in cells. The protein, p53, can cause cells to stop dividing or even to commit suicide when they show signs of DNA damage, and it is responsible for much of the tissue destruction that follows exposure to ionizing radiation or DNA-damaging drugs such as the ones commonly used for cancer therapy. The new finding shows that a short segment on p53 is needed to fine-tune the protein's activity in blood-forming stem cells and their progeny after they incur DNA damage. A new study finds that older adults with musical experience perform better on some cognitive tests than those who had never studied music. With only 70 participants, the study was small, but the results match those from other studies of challenging tasks, including findings that learning a second language protects against dementia . "Musical activity throughout life may serve as a challenging cognitive exercise, making your brain fitter and more capable of accommodating the challenges of aging ," study researcher Brenda Hanna-Pladdy, a neurologist at the Emory University School of Medicine, said in a statement.
