It's been said that mutual confidence is the foundation of all satisfactory human relationships, and that people always have two questions in mind when they enter into any relationship. Those are: 1. "Can I trust you? " Refrigeration 101 - USAF Training Film. Inventor Aparat Aer Conditionat Inverter, Dezumidificator. NATE Changes Certification/Recertification Program. With increasing demand on technicians’ personal and professional time, NATE has made changes to its certification program in order to continue its value to HVACR.

NATE Changes Certification/Recertification Program

Based on industry feedback, these changes are designed to make it simpler for technicians to maintain NATE certification with better recognition of the HVACR industry training and lowered certification maintenance costs. If NATE certification was earned or recertified prior to January 2014, the current certification(s) will complete the previously awarded five-year duration. This includes those who successfully passed the NATE Core exam and at least one specialty exam in 2013, regardless of the exam processing date. Upon the maintenance date, the technician will automatically transition to the 2-year certification period.

How to Add or charge Freon or Refrigerant to your air conditioning equipment

Spring 2006: The price of energy has almost doubled since this page was originally written. There are many things that you can do to your system that will help its performance, some more than others. One of the most important things you can do with your air conditioner or heat pump that will reduce energy consumption is to make sure that you have the right amount of refrigerant in the system and to make sure the refrigerant is metered where in needs to go at the correct rate. If you have a system that has fixed metering i.e. capillary tubes or a fixed orifice then it will never work as well as it will if it has a thermostatic expansion valve.

The following material is somewhat controversial as in many contractors would like me to go away. I will not discuss the legality of handling refrigerants please take that up with the appropriate authorities if you can figure out who they are. Enough of my rant now back to the subject at hand. Definitions: To be added... Contact us. A Refrigerator Powered by the Sun. The solar refrigerator.

A Refrigerator Powered by the Sun

The purple box at bottom is the cooler, the solar panel and activated carbon bed are on top, and the condenser is at center. Image courtesy Michigan State University. The very idea of a solar refrigerator is a contradiction: Use the hot sun to keep things cold. How could such an oxymoron possibly work? It would seem impossible if a team of undergraduates from Michigan State University hadn’t already built a prototype, out of cheap materials, in Guatemala. The potential uses for a solar refrigerator are endless, from air-conditioning buildings to keeping a case of Sam Adams cold on a hot Fourth of July day.

Absorption refrigerator. An absorption refrigerator is a refrigerator that uses a heat source (e.g., solar, kerosene-fueled flame, waste heat from factories or district heating systems) to provide the energy needed to drive the cooling system.

Absorption refrigerator

In the early years of the twentieth century, the vapor absorption cycle using water-ammonia systems was popular and widely used, but after the development of the vapor compression cycle it lost much of its importance because of its low coefficient of performance (about one fifth of that of the vapor compression cycle). Einstein refrigerator. Einstein's and Szilárd's patent application.

Einstein refrigerator

Annotated patent drawing. History[edit] From 1926 until 1933 Einstein and Szilárd collaborated on ways to improve home refrigeration technology. The two were motivated by contemporary newspaper reports of a Berlin family who had been killed when a seal in their refrigerator broke and leaked toxic fumes into their home. Einstein and Szilárd proposed that a device without moving parts would eliminate the potential for seal failure, and explored practical applications for different refrigeration cycles.
