Text smaller Text bigger On Nov. 6, Americans voted to return Barack Obama to the White House; then on Nov. 7, some folks in Louisiana petitioned the White House to peaceably withdraw their state from the Union. Coincidence? According to the White House website, the petition was created by Michael E. (full last name not provided) of Slidell, La., the day after the election and has since been electronically signed by a few hundred people, most – but not all – of whom hail from the Pelican State.

“We petition the Obama administration to: Peacefully grant the State of Louisiana to withdraw from the United States of America and create its own NEW government,” the petition reads. The petition has until Dec. 7 of this year to gather 25,000 signatures, at which time, the White House pledges, it will be placed on a queue for response from the administration. Petitions To White House: Grant TX & LA Peaceful Withdraw From US. It's quite amazing actually, but not surprising what is taking place post re-election of Barack Hussein Obama. Remember, as I write this, that Obama comes from the same state as Abraham Lincoln and that just as Lincoln oversaw a divided nation, Barack Obama is also making it that way. Lincoln oversaw our nation's War of Northern Aggression or for those who grew up in public school education, the Civil War. Now it seems that the same mindset is beginning in our country again with petitions submitted to the White House petitions site. First there was a petition to "Peacefully grant the State of Louisiana to withdraw from the United States of America and create its own NEW government. " The petition was created November 7 and already has 3,521 signatures. It needs 25,000 by December 7 of this year in order to garner a response from Barack Obama. The petition was clear and to the point: Lest you think this petition is isolated.

I must admit I'm very uneasy about the current administration. UN Millennium Project | Resources. UN Millennium Project | Welcome to Our Historic Site. Jane Akre. Professional life[edit] Akre began her career at a small radio station as a news reporter and occasional disc jockey in 1978. She moved around the country as a news reporter and news anchor until spending some time at CNN.[1] Following her firing from WTSP, she joined WTVT, a Fox Broadcasting Company affiliate.[2] Following her issues with WTVT, she took a series of jobs and was featured in The Corporation regarding her whistleblower lawsuit.

In 2007 Akre became the editor-in-chief of the national news desk at InjuryBoard.com.[1] Whistleblower lawsuit[edit] In 1997, Wilson and Akre began work on a story regarding the agricultural biotechnology company Monsanto and recombinant bovine growth hormone (rBGH), a milk additive that had been approved for use by the Food and Drug Administration but also blamed for a number of health issues. WTVT did not run the report, and later argued in court that the report was not "breakthrough journalism. " References[edit] See also[edit] Cases and Codes. On Wednesday, Sept. 26, CNN's Out Front With Erin Burnett ran a segment titled "No more 'War on Drugs.'" The segment begins with CNN reporter John Zarrella narrating footage of a U.S. Coast Guard cutter disabling a boat carrying marijuana.

"This was the mid 1980s," Zarrella says. "The drug war was at its height. " Zarella continues talking in the past tense, saying, "Then Vice President george bush headed up a task force to fight the problem....Stash houses and drug labs were routinely raided. What Zarrella may not know is that the day before his CNN segment ran, the Drug Enforcement Administration launched a coordinated crackdown on 71 medical marijuana dispensaries in and around Los Angeles, bringing the total number of California dispensaries closed this year to over 800. Perhaps Zarrella omitted this breaking news update from his package because he didn't see it, or it was too late to address it. Now, as "in the mid-1980s," the U.S.

US brands Julian Assange and WikiLeaks ‘enemies of the state’ For Spain, The Beginning Of The End Arrives As Bank Of Spain Starts Using ELA. As we described in detail yesterday, things are going from worse to worserer as the problems in Spain - more specifically in its banking sector - are deepening as deposit flight accelerates. As the WSJ notes PIMCOs' comment: "A bank 'jog' is happening in Spain - the private sector is leaving the banking system.

" But the Bank of Spain isn't leaving anything to chance. The WSJ disconcertingly highlights that last month the central bank appears for the first time to have activated an emergency lending program that will enable its banks to borrow from the Bank of Spain directly, bypassing the ECB's relatively tough collateral demands.

The so-called Emergency Liquidity Assistance program is shrouded in secrecy, and the Bank of Spain won't confirm that it has been used. The Bank of Spain appears to have doled out about EUR400mm under the program, based on publicly available data. And The Bank of Spain was quick to respond to this reality (with a denial): Garry Kasparov beaten by police outside Pussy Riot trial - Moscow, Aug 17 2012. Germany Closes Embassies in Muslim World on Fears of Friday Protests. Amid fears of more violent protests in the Muslim world, the German government has announced it will close its diplomatic missions in the region on Friday, the Islamic holy day.

With further escalation of protests expected after Friday prayers, Berlin is also considering whether to provide additional security for German diplomatic facilities, Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle said. Many embassies are closed on Fridays in the Islamic world in honor of the holy day to begin with, but a number of German diplomats have received specific instructions to avoid embassies that day.

"We have intensified security precautions everywhere in the region, and in some cases increased security personnel too," Westerwelle said. The news came as backlash continued against the controversial anti-Islam film "Innocence of Muslims," followed by additional unrest in reaction to the publication of Muhammad caricatures by French satire magazine Charlie Hebdo, which added fuel to the fire on Wednesday. Dollar no longer primary oil currency as China begins to sell oil using Yuan - National Finance Examiner.

On Sept. 11, Pastor Lindsey Williams, former minister to the global oil companies during the building of the Alaskan pipeline, announced the most significant event to affect the U.S. dollar since its inception as a currency. For the first time since the 1970's, when Henry Kissenger forged a trade agreement with the Royal house of Saud to sell oil using only U.S. dollars, China announced its intention to bypass the dollar for global oil customers and began selling the commodity using their own currency. Lindsey Williams: "The most significant day in the history of the American dollar, since its inception, happened on Thursday, Sept. 6. On that day, something took place that is going to affect your life, your family, your dinner table more than you can possibly imagine. ""On Thursday, Sept. 6... just a few days ago, China made the official announcement.

Ironically, since Sept. 6, the U.S. dollar has fallen from 81.467 on the index to today's price of 79.73. Conspiracy Theories. GLOBAL DIALOG. OWS. Nearly every major drug company convicted of criminal behavior in three-year, $11 billion sweep. (NaturalNews) Many medical professionals and members of the general public are losing faith in the credibility of the clinical trial and drug approval process, and rightfully so in light of all the corporate corruption and criminal behavior that has recently come to light. Two new papers published in the New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM) suggest that drug industry corruption is so pervasive nowadays that even the most rigorously-conducted studies and trials are not being taken seriously by many doctors.

Over the past three years, nearly every major drug company on the planet has been convicted of some kind of criminal behavior, whether it is fudging drug safety data; pushing drugs for off-label uses; bribing doctors and medical professionals to prescribe dangerous drugs; or conducting fraudulent clinical trials. "In all, 26 companies, including eight of the 10 top players in the global industry, have been found to be acting dishonestly," writes Jeremy Laurance for the U.K.' Untitled. BEIRUT — Congresswoman Illena Ros-Lehtinen will have her hands full as she makes the political and social rounds at this month’s Republican National Convention. Illena is the only female committee chair in the House of Representatives and arguably Israel’s most ardent agent.

She is a constant thorn in the Obama administration’s side, regularly castigating the president for playing “political games with U.S. foreign policy” and being “soft on Iran” and undermining the legitimacy of Israel. Ros-Lehtinen is a congressional cheer leader also for her Jewish voters in Florida—a key battleground in the rapidly approaching US presidential election. Most recently, Ros-Lehtinen helped shepherd through Congress yet another bill tightening sanctions against Iran while calling for US military action against the Assad regime in Syria.
