The twenty-one quizzes with a green marble and designated "Practice" have been adapted from the instructor's manual and other ancillary materials accompanying Sentence Sense: A Writer's Guide. They are duplicated here with permission of the author, Evelyn Farbman, and the publisher, Houghton Mifflin Inc. The seventeen quizzes with a gold marble were written by the English faculty at an estimable midwestern university and are used here with the permission of that department.

MALTED es una herramienta informática de autor para la creación y ejecución de unidades didácticas multimedia e interactivas para ser utilizadas por el alumnado como prácticas de aprendizaje en aulas dotadas tecnológicamente. Esta herramienta ha sido desarrollada en particular para la enseñanza de idiomas, si bien su uso se puede extender a otras materias del currículo escolar. El sistema MALTED está integrado por dos entornos de trabajo, llamados respectivamente Editor MALTED (DVE) y Navegador MALTED (RTS).
El programa funciona bajo los sistemas operativos Windows y Linux. Las unidades interactivas de este sitio requieren la máquina virtual de Java y el plugin de Malted Web 2.0,. Las mejores apps para repasar idiomas este verano. El verano es una época del año ideal para ir a la playa, piscina, montaña o simplemente tumbarse en el sofá de casa. Pero también es un buen momento para aprovecharlo al máximo aprendiendo idiomas o repasando vocabulario entre rayo y rayo de sol, sobre todo, ante el auge de dispositivos como smartphones o tabletas que se llevan a cualquier lugar para los que hay disponibles unas cuantas apps de idiomas muy interesantes. [Ver cursos de Idiomas] Dentro de ellas figura busuu, que está disponible tanto en Android como en iOS. A través de ella se pueden aprender diferentes idiomas como inglés, español, francés, japonés, portugués (Brasil) o alemán, entre otros.
Muy conocida es también Babel para idiomas que es más habitual que se estudien como el inglés, pero también para otras lenguas como holandés e indonesio, de las que hay disponible vocabulario, aparte de permitir trabajar la pronunciación. Evernote como agenda escolar electrónica: recordatorios en notas. El trabajo del profesor está marcado por un calendario concreto y se trabaja contra reloj. La demanda de tiempo obliga a organizar una apretada agenda escolar y un horario de clases con un sistema más o menos sofisticado. Una herramienta “Evernote” que se define con la frase “Recuérdalo todo” hacía suponer que contenía un calendario y un sistema de notificaciones para usarse como agenda electrónica. Para la sorpresa de muchos, éste no era el caso hasta hace unos días. Evernote incorpora en su última versión para MAC, iOS y web (en muy breve para los demás sistemas operativos), la posibilidad de añadir a nuestras notas, recordatorios en una fecha y hora exacta.

Create Instant Interactive Text Based Activities. Creating computer based materials can be incredibly time consuming and also very frustrating as websites and web based content can change so quickly, that's why it is always so nice to discover tools like Textivate which can enable you to create instant interactivity using almost any text you find from around the web. All you need to do is copy and paste your text into the Textivate window and then click on 'textivate now'. Here you can see some text I have copied from the Goldilocks story which I found on the Project Gutenberg site. Now I get a range of different exercise types to choose from. All I have to do to generate the exercise is to click on one of the square and I instantly have an interactive activity.
There are quite a few to choose from. You can also have the text arranged vertically so that students drag and drop the parts into position.
