Knit with Feza Yarn's Alp Natural, this Lace Kimono Beach Cover-up by KT Baldassaro combines an easy lace pattern with a fun, functional garment for summer. Wear it on the beach or throw it on over your tank top and you'll turn heads! From designer KT Baldassaro: Lace is appearing in just about every swim catalogue being sent out this year. Beach cover-ups have gone from over-sized Men's t-shirts (that say something about the heat and whether or not you should be in the kitchen) to alluring and flattering knit/crocheted tops. The choice of knitting a beach cover-up makes a lot of sense. So with all this in mind, I designed this Lace Kimono Beach Cover-up (pictured left).

The rose works up very fast and can be crocheted and assembled within half an hour or less. The finished rose measures only about 2 inches across, but if you were to use a thicker yarn you could easily create much larger rose. The crocheted strip naturally spirals, which makes it easy to position and sew the rose together. You can use the clip to help keep the hair in place or as an added decoration for a headband. Free July Pattern -PinWheel Flowerette. HaNdKrAfT: Game Day Beer Coozies.
I mentioned these coozies before, as one of my 17 projects. These two (out of a set of six which I am still working on) were Christmas presents for my brother. Just before Thanksgiving, he saw some other knitted coozies and thought that they were "too girly," and asked me to make some "you know, plain ones. " He also asked me to knit him a sweater, but as my brother has a 44 inch chest, I would need the budget for a small European Country to knit him a "you know, plain one" in a fiber that is "something I can wash.
" Since my brother is a Tampa Bay Buccaneers fan, and only seems to during beer when he is watching football, Game Day Coozies were born. Here is the pattern: Size: One size Measurements: 6.5 inches finished length Materials: Two Skeins Cascade Sierra Colors 58 (maroon) and 65 (dark Grey black) Tampa Bay Buccaneers Colors! Working at Purl Soho, I have a front row seat to the parade of effortlessly chic people that give our neighborhood its renowned style. From here I can report that, for men and women alike, this season's prevailing trend in neckwear is the bandana. Jauntily tied around the neck, it tops off everything from Sunday's T-shirt and jeans to Friday's night-on-the-town dress!
The bandana is a sassy, casual touch that suggests that the wearer possesses an innate stylishness. It's the perfect accessory for those cool mornings when you've hit snooze a few too many times and need to turn "thrown-together-in-a-rush" into "casually glamourous"! My Bandana Cowl is inspired by my desire to make "effortlessly chic" even more effortless. I chose to make my Cowl out of Swan's Island Bulky, a brand new yarn made from a beautiful blend of undyed merino and alpaca that feels wonderfully soft against the skin.
