Toyota Kata.

1. The Coaching Kata. The Improvement Kata. Knowledge Assets in Your Company - Learning to Learn Knowledge assets are not just the knowledge already created, such as know-how, patents, technologies, or brands, but also include the knowledge to create knowledge, such as the organizational capability to innovate. Although current views on knowledge assets tend to focus on the former because they are easier to measure and deal with, it is the latter that need more attention because they are the source of new knowledge to be created, and therefore a source of the future value of the firm.

One of the most important knowledge assets for a firm is a firm-specific kata (roughly, "pattern" or "Way of doing things") of dialogues and practices. Nelson and Winter (1982) emphasize the importance of routines for the firm's evolutionary process. Here, we focus on "creative routines" of kata, which make knowledge creation possible by fostering creativity and preserving efficiency. Opzoek naar Muri (Overbelasting) - Een Handreiking | panview. Toyota-way-handout.pdf (application/pdf Object) Scrum (software development) Scrum is an iterative and incremental agile software development framework for managing product development. It defines "a flexible, holistic product development strategy where a development team works as a unit to reach a common goal", challenges assumptions of the "traditional, sequential approach" to product development, and enables teams to self-organize by encouraging physical co-location or close online collaboration of all team members, as well as daily face-to-face communication among all team members and disciplines in the project.

A key principle of Scrum is its recognition that during a project the customers can change their minds about what they want and need (often called "requirements churn"), and that unpredicted challenges cannot be easily addressed in a traditional predictive or planned manner. Later, Schwaber with others founded the Scrum Alliance and created the Certified Scrum Master programs and its derivatives. Each sprint is started by a planning meeting.

Lean Manufacturing and the Toyota Production System. Ronald M. Becker The use of the term "Lean", in a business or manufacturing environment, describes a philosophy that incorporates a collection of tools and techniques into the business processes to optimize time, human resources, assets, and productivity, while improving the quality level of products and services to their customers. Becoming "Lean" is a commitment to a process and a tremendous learning experience should you attempt to implement Lean principles and practices into your organization. The term Lean in the manufacturing environment also refers to the Toyota Production system established by the Toyota Corporation. Sakichi Toyoda invented a power loom in 1902 and in 1926 an automatic loom capable of detecting a snapped thread that automatically stopped the loom thus preventing production of poor quality.

That same year, 1926, he founded the Toyoda Automatic Loom Works that manufactured automatic looms. Huge List of Free Lean Games! Don't bore your team with static Powerpoint slides!
