The annual celebration of Black History Month is a remembrance of important people of African-American heritage, dedicated to honoring their achievements and lasting impact on the nation’s history. On February 17, Orlando’s Mayor Buddy Dyer, the Orlando City Council, the Orlando Magic and the City of Orlando’s Celebrate Black History Committee will sponsor an African-American Business Expo. It will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the Amway Center, 400 West Church Street. The FREE Expo will provide an opportunity for business owners to network with one another and learn from industry experts and various economic development organizations about how to start and/or grow their business.

Topics include state and local business incentive programs, available space for lease in Downtown Orlando and other small business assistance programs. Attendance at the African-American Business Expo is free for business owners but space is limited.
