We got a HTC One X phone, and initially we were very impressed about its low voice latency. However the phone died with a black screen 10 months later, which seems to be a common problem of it. Testing a Sony Xperia Z as replacement revealed a comparable high audio latency among other software issues. Now we love our new LG Optimus 4X HD which has proven to be good and reliable so far. We added VideoSMS, a service to send HD video messages instantaneously regardless which video formats the receiver is able to play. For Google™ Voice users, Sipdroid can now create a new, free PBXes account that is automatically linked to an existing Google™ Voice account.

Sipdroid est un client VOIP pour Android permettant de téléphoner par internet en utilisant un compte SIP (par exemple Free en fournit dans son offre).
Il est important de savoir que les appels SIP sont généralement interdits sur la 2G/3G par les opérateurs. Après quelques tests en utilisant mes identifiants Free (les appels n'aboutissaient pas, idem pour OVH), j'ai décidé de suivre la méthode conseillée sur leur site web qui consiste à passer par leur serveur intermédiaire pbxes.org gratuitement.
